The Boondocks...yes, it is technically anime. It was drawn in Korea and supervised by someone called Seung Sun Kim. So...yeah, any thoughts on The Boondocks? I think it's one of the best shows Adult Swim has ever done....aside from Bebop, YYH, etc.

I think Boondocks is a very good. I was in shock in the first episode of this series because it's different from the comics. I can't say which episode is my favorite but all of them are funny in one way and another. I think the episode with the Xbox Killer is my favorite, and the plan to kidnap Oprah is my second. I still don't think its an anime, and Iam glad its not b/c it would be crap.

Actually the cable guy hooks us up with more channels on the lowski whoaski. Boondock's cartoon is slightly different than the comics because the word N*g*a was used like 50 in each episode. Just little stuff like that. There are still some political jokes and such, but the cartoon seems more extreme than the comics imo.

Of course you would know because your from up North. But there are still a lot of peeps that want to stop using the N bomb too much. But since I moved down South from NY people dont use it too much unless their in a arguement. but thats beside the topic.

well the comic mit be more controversial since its talkin bout the klan now, and of course saying nigga aint prolly as bad as klan to the "majority" (not majority here lol, i mean places lik here)

Yes, The Boondocks is one of the most meaningful and poetic cartoons on television today. I personally can't get enough of that show. It satirizes the hypocracy and ignorance of US culture and provides nessisary criticism into our ego-driven, over-consuming wasteland of a society.

It's much better than the comic strip you get in the sunday paper.

I like it as well, even if there are a few too many "nigga" each episode for my tender socialist heart, but I guess you get accustomed to it. It manages to be both highly entertaining, have excellent production values, witty and clever writing and provide a message. In my opinion it is the best American cartoon in many years.

It differs from the strip in that the show is much more edgy...many more N-words. It also has a different drawing style than the strip, because Aaron McGruder himself did not draw the series. It was drawn and animated in Korea in a VERY anime-esque style...so I think that yes, it does qualify as anime.
