Dream wing is awesome. Satashi has done it again. And let's all wait until at least ch 2 to be nitpicky.
Spoiler for Prediction:
I don't know if this was just a passing thing or not but it was mentioned that Nanoha's pretending to be from the Zipang (or at least the region). Well since Mai is princess of said region she might be a little excited to meet someone from her homeland after all Zipang doesn't have Otomes. That's my prediction and I'm stickin' to it><
And Puppy Zafira wins
Spoiler for If Nanoha and Fate hadn't interupted:
Natsuki: *holding Zafira* ... puppy...
Zafira: *sweat drop*
Natsuki: *stare* *thinking* Well... I can't leave him here
Zafira:...
Natsuki:*thinking* Even though there's that no pets rule people sneak animals in all the time
Zafira: *thinking* Put me down...
Natsuki: *Thinking* I could hide him... under the bed. Mai wouldn't tell.
Mai: *walked up beside them while Natsuki was thinking* *pokes Natsuki* Na~tsu~ki. Who's this Shizuru-onee-sama's new competition?
Natsuki: *Snaps out of it* M-Mai! *ends up shaking Zafira around*
Zafira: *thinking* D-dizzy.
Mai: *takes Zafira from Natsuki* Aww he's such a cute puppy! We should totally keep him.
Zafira: *thinking* K-keep him?
Natsuki: We?
Mai: Mm! *nod* he could be like... a mascot! Yeah! ** And we could name him umm...

Natsuki: I think your killing him!

Zafira:... it's a magic land... full of... magical girls... and... I have to go back! *Wiggles out of Mai's loosened grip* Goodbye! *runs away*
Natsuki: ... we never speak of this again
Mai: Agreed.

Thank you ^_^ I'll leave an author's note about how you came up with it when/if it happens. Zafira is vastly underused so I want to try and give him some spotlight.
Besides, A ferret and a doggy would be a key way of communication between base and the school. Since they don't have cell phones and are out of telepathy range. Poor Nanoha 0: D she has to go through a lot to contact Hayate hehe
Great and so far most criticism like the telekinetic part was already mentioned.
i am wondering though, is this before reinforce zwei was created because i'm pretty certain she always stays by hayate being both her partner and unison devise.
Nanoha Takamachi sighed and leaned back in her chair. The air-conditioned air kept her cool even in the mid-summer Mid-Childa heat. Not to mention the countless bouquets and other flower arrangements would have withered by now had it not been for the artificial cooling. As usual, her dressing room was filled to the brim by the colorful plants and the air almost sickenly sweet by the mixture of their scents. She turned her attention back to her reflection in the large oval mirror above her makeup table. The evening's performance had just come to an end. While she enjoyed what she did, it still tired her out. She hadn't even changed out of the elegant, yet simple white dress that she had worn for the final act. It really wasn't something she would pick to wear or common in such a technologically advanced society, but at least it was comfortable.
It had been almost a decade since she had been 'discovered' by the TSAB for her high magical potential. Coming from a non-magical world, it had been quite a shock on her first encounter with the supposedly fictitious energy known as magic. Though given what she had scene, it was very much real and she was able to use it. Ever since then she had signed up with the Bureau and became of their top mages. Yet that wasn't the only thing she was doing on this alien world. Music had always been one of her passions. The plays and operas she had seen at home had fascinated her. She wanted to be like those actress on stage and be able to sing with such an elegant voice. Shortly after, she had gotten her chance. The TSAB was putting on their annual play for the general public and she decided to try out for it. To say she was nervous would be an understatement. To say she was shocked would have been an even bigger understatement when she got the part. Hence her singing career began. While she worked as a combat mage, she performed in numerous performances over the years. Her voice was renowned over countless worlds, especially at her age.
Lately she had been reconsidering her options in the Bureau. Her thoughts wandered to the open positions for Combat Instructors for the Air Force. It would be less stressful and she wouldn't have to worry about traveling off-world as much. Then she could have more time for her plays. Now that she thought about, her rise in stardom was pretty amazing. To be both a high-level mage and a singer was quite a feat. Though she had some help over the years...
"A lovely performance as usual, my dear."
She whipped around at the all too familiar voice. From across the room a black-clad figure stepped out of the full-length mirror and bowed slightly. While any other person would have been alarmed, this was completely normal for Nanoha. Her 'help' was never one for using the normal way in anyway. Not to mention the apparent lack of wardrobe. Like usual, her 'help' was dressed in a simple black suit with a flowing black cloak and black gloves. The suit wasn't tight, but it did accentuate her curves some. Long, blond hair stretched down to almost her ankles, held together by a black ribbon at the end. Though the most striking feature was the half, white mask she wore on the right side of her face. She had asked about it before, but never gotten a real explanation for it.
The newcomer extended a hand out to the brunette. "Shall we, my dear?"
Nanoha knew what she meant. If it hadn't been for her, this 'phantom of the opera,' she wouldn't be the singer she was today. Her random practice sessions were nothing new, either. Extended her hand out, she grasped the gloved one lightly and stood. The phantom smiled slightly and led her to the mirror and stepped into it. Ripples radiated outwards, like ripples on a pond as they stepped through it. Had she not trained in the use and understanding of magic, this would almost seen like some weird dream or something out of a fantasy novel. She didn't even look back as they passed through and into the dimly lit corridor beyond. Candles lined the old walls to show them the way down the narrow stairs. She never did quite know where the mirror took them, but it had a nostalgic feel to it, with the lack of modern lighting and construction. The phantom glanced back to her as she walked and Nanoha knew what to do. It was a practice session after all. She took a breath before she began...
Spoiler for Accompanying Song:
In sleep he sang to me,
in dreams he came ...
that voice which calls to me and speaks my name ...
And do I dream again?
For now I find
the Phantom of the Opera is there - inside my mind ...
A winding stairwell led further down. Here there were no candles to provide lighting so the mysterious blond lit a torch on one of the candles to show them the way. They continued down until they came upon a flat corridor that led deeper into the darkness. Then the phantom began her part of the duet.
Sing once again with me our strange duet ...
My power over you grows stronger yet ...
And though you turn from me,
to glance behind,
the Phantom of the Opera is there - inside your mind ...
The corridor ended at a waterway of some kind. The walls were just as wide, giving Nanoha the impression that it was a flooded portion of the labyrinth they were in. A small, wooden boat with a pair of old fashioned lanterns mounted at the bow floated silently at the water's edge. She carefully stepped inside, with the phantom following suit behind her to man the single steering oar. Candles lined the watery corridor, more than likely put up by the phantom herself. She began to sing again after the phantom had finished.
Those who have seen your face draw back in fear ...
I am the mask you wear ...
Then the phantom came in.
It's me they hear ...
As they rounded the corner, they began the duet.
Your/My spirit and my/your voice in one combined:
the Phantom of the Opera
is there - inside your/my mind ...
The man-made walls stopped and opened into a large, natural cavern. Simple stands jutted out from the murky water holding a dozen candles each in a path to the other end of the cavern. A section of dry land awaited at the end of the candle lit path, more than likely the home of the phantom when she didn't see her. Nanoha's voice echoed in the dome-like cave as they entered.
He's there,
the Phantom of the Opera ...
At first, she had a difficult time with keeping her pitch on the next part. To hold her voice for so long was taxing at first but the phantom never let her give up and pushed her. Now she could do it with relative ease and it helped her tremendously with her singing. While she sang, the phantom stepped in and urged her on.
Sing, my Angel of Music!
Sing, my Angel...
Sing, for me!
Sing, my Angel...
Sing, for me!
Nanoh's voice slowly faded away as the boat came upon the land. The phantom stepped off and offered her hand to her. She accepted it.
Don't hurt me!!

This doesn't take place in any set time zone. Natsuki is a student and Arika is already a mesiter. I had to do this to maximize Shiznat/ NanoFate moments while keeping other cast members.
I also haven't watched Zwei yet. I'm waiting until angel comes back home so we can watch it together.
Though I am a fan of Arika/Mashiro. I'm going to keep them plot based, though, and try to avoid "couples for the sake of couples". I got that advice from 4chan, that I throw in things that arn't needed at all. So I'm going to improve on that using them 0: 3

Natsuki stuffing is 50% cannon. In the manga she was arguing with someone and while throwing insults, one accused the other of stuffing.
edit: I have Angel's halo for the weekend 0: D
i also lol'd at that part both in this fic and the manga!! oh my lawd.. aww Natsuki doesn't have to do that. Shizuru wouldn't care even if Natsuki has the sagging breasts of an old lady as long as it's her.

@ satashi
i didn't mean otome zwei but reinforce zwei
you know the cute devise... desu
of course, it isn't essential in the plot i just noticed it and all
also about otome zwei it is mediocre at best. filled with fanservice and way too simple plot the only reason to watch it is to see some insight into the characters and their relationships with each other. it's what made me an arika/mashiro fan
no arika/mashiro, let me be emo for 5 sec,
ok better now i have preferences but they really don't matter to me really, just keep writing and remember improvements are good and all but don't lose the quirks that make satashi-fics umm satashi-fics. Now i don't know what said quirks are but it's there and i'm sure all of us will notice when they're gone. what i'm saying is listin to advise but you don't have to use them neccessarily since the writer is the one doing the work, us readers are simply enjoying it.
@evangelion
I can actually see that fic working and i say go for it. with fate's sad past in the anime that will work perfectly
of course i can't imagine fate being scarred or "ugly"

So Fate's the Phantom? I wonder how her radiation burns face looks...

Be patient my friend, that is a very important detail that will be revealed in the future chapters, just remeber that the Slaveos of the Dark are mens and womans corrupted and twisted in mind and aspect
-Nanoha having to deal with the fact that she's killed a man would take time to handle. It's not a do one day, feel happy and good about yourself the next day sort of process. Especially because she wanted so desperately to save him.
-They speak English on Mid Childa, and Nanoha would still be learning the language after only living there a year. I know Japanese people who have lived in the US for close to fifteen years and their English is still a little wonky. I think that it's perfectly reasonable to assume that Nanoha would still be having some trouble adjusting to the fact that she almost never hears her native language on Mid.
-Originally, I'd intended for Fate and Nanoha to go and kill some zombies, but then I realized that I'm a lazy son of a bitch who didn't want to write any more. This is the end, and it does make sense, when one thinks about it. Painting a target on one's head is never a good thing to do.
-Mochi, or Daifuku, is delicious white rice flour, a little bit of sugar and red bean paste in the middle. It's basically the best thing ever. I don't imagine that they make them on Mid, so Nanoah's totally taking advantage of the fact that she's able to eat them while on earth.
-Fate being worried about them being separated is perfectly natural. She's got a job jet-setting across the universe, and Nanoha's grounded on Mid. They don't get to work together again until the beginning of StrikerS, and they don't fight together again until the third or forth episode of StrikerS.
Her random practice sessions wwere nothing new, either.

So the ending finally came... I'd be lying if I were saying that I won't miss waiting for updates in this fic, but what has to end, has to end.
I fully enjoyed the story from start to finish. The ending had a nice 'life goes on, but some things will never change' feel to it that was fitting and heartwarming. What I liked the most about the fic was probably that everything seemed to be in the right quantity, fights, day-to-day descriptions, and so on, nothing felt as if it was going over the top. Sorry for not being able to give a more in-depth view on my thoughts, but I simply did not find anything out of place.
We inmediatly gone inside the room that Beatriz had takken just before tha attack of Salazar, inside of it we found a largue spiral stears that were going up, we keep our march, preparing ourself to confront Beatriz
At the top we encounter a big red door, I opened it and found myself inside an enormus room, filled with elegant dolls and mirrors, then at the end of the room an enormus window pointing at the hills in the distance... and Beatriz, standing at the side of the window looking at them
"Ah... I see you managued to get this far..." She said after turning, we noticed that her stomach were bigger, she said again
"You have been busy Vivio, I think is time for you... to rest"
"It's over Beatriz" I said "You'r father is dead, you will be next and Nanoha will follow you"
She just gave us a smile, then suddenly she move her hands to her stomach, like if she had suffered a little pain, turning again to us and with a face of happyness she just said
"He kicked..."
"What the hell is she talking about?" Helga asked
Beatriz moved her hands again to her stomach with more pain, then again and again, after this conbulsions and with a weak voice she said
"I... Its time..." She vomited blood, her nose, ears and moth were several bleeding, between her legs I noticed that she was also bleeding, something was not right
"C-come my son... it's time fo... for your... f-first meal..."
In that moment, Beatriz stomach exploted and a small tentacle came out of it, she falled, more tentacles came out of her chest, tearing apart her body, in question of seconds, an enormus octopus creature born out of the 9 years old body of Beatriz de la Huerta, she had gave birth to a Slave of the Dark!
The creature grow fast,in question of one minute, it had reached something like 5 or 6 meters of lenght, several tentacles were added to it, he opened his eyes, hell, he opened like 20 eyes! in his top it was his mouth, opening it, the slave made his first roar
"HO-LLY-CRAP...." Jasper said at the time we all contemplate the "son" of Beatriz, the creature launched his tentacled to us, they litterally made holes in the floor, this thing had more than 16 tentacles, plus in every part of his body there was at least one eye looking at us, attack him by surprise was imposible, the monster was swinging his tentacles in all directions, we were not able even of aiming to it
"In all the... WOA!... How did we... how did we gona kill this thing?!" Helga asked at the time she was evading the swings of the demon's tentacles
"In the same way we defeat the creature of the lake and all the others slaves!" I answered also evading the Slave's attacks
"I think that God will eventually get tired of making miracles for us!" Jasper answered under the same situation, before he said this, the Slave cathed Jasper by grabing him by one of his legs, the monster rised my friend and opened his mouth with the intention of eat him
"No, no! Bad boy! Bad boy!" Jasper were screaming this word at the time he tried to get holded from the tentacle, we couldn't hepl him, the creature don't even allowed us to aim
I jumped to evade a tentacle and found a bottle of wine, I got then an Idea, I grabed the bottle and keep runing, while evading I remove the coarch of the bottle, ripped a pice of my dress, weated it with the wine, obstructed the bottle with the pice of dress and turning it on with a match (Yes, I still don't know how I did it) I launched the improvisaded bomb to Jasper, he catched it and launched it inside the Slave's mouth
An explosion of fire came out of the creature, the slave made a tremendous chill and launched Jasper to the oposite side of the room, seesed with his attacks, we all go to check Jasper, he was allright, the slave got involved in flames inmediatly, and with him... the house, the hosue also started to get burned
"Holy... we must get out of here!" Alphonse screamed at the time he and the others ran to the exit of the room, the slave falled dead, but then I turned back
"Vivio! What are you doing?!" Karil screamed
I ran back with Beatriz, she was still alive, although her body was literally destroyed
"Y... you will... you will... pay for this, my... my mistress will... avangue me, because you killed... you killed the baby she gave to... to me..." She said
"And I will give you this!" I shooted to her forehead and killed her, I then ran back with my friends, we ran like the devil to the exit of the mansion alerting the others of the fire, thanks to God, no one of our comrades died and we all manague to escape from the house who was reduced to ashes
After that, well, we just tell to Sky anmd Raphael that we encounter Salazar, Beatriz and her "son", that we killed them and that Beatriz told us that Nanoha was no longer in Spain
Raphael got furius
"We came here for nothing?!" Was what he said, although we knew that we had succeded, Beatriz and Salazar were dead, now it was time to wait for Alastor's answer
What? Draws of Beatriz and his son? I thinkI will post them tomorrow
Sorry
So that was the grossest chapter yet. The way her body was ripped apart! *shudders* That "child" is gross! That was so wrong. I liked the improvised wine bomb though.
