My Theories about SAO
Wow.... It was wonky math, but I was pretty damn close after only one episode. Cool, at least things are going at a good pace though and the whole storyline is there without much editing. |

If you looked at the calculations then you'll see that the TOTAL amount of episodes from start to finish with AVAILABLE information on SS and main storyline, then the total amount of episodes would be 17.5... without shortening the SS or Main storyline [which they did, according to the calculations]. I also mentioned that after they shortened the stories a little then the SAO arc would around 12-13 episodes, but I also mentioned that they could lengthen one or more storylines to add time to the SAO arc and thus make it 14-15 episodes.
Which they did by adding a SS [Murder] in that wasn't part of my calculations. It was even two episodes long... easily filling the space needed to make my prediction true. According to my calculations then based on the amount of pages and the amount of time alotted per episodes, then you get 3 episodes to tell the story WORD FOR WORD. We do NOW.... Not back then when I originally wrote that post. and did the calculations. Quote:
Just to reiterate.... I WROTE THIS IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE FIRST EPISODE. We didn't even see the trailer for the new episode when I wrote this. Literally all the math was based on the information available back in July. |

*Possibly the scene at the start of volume 3 with Suguha and her Mom visiting Kirito in the hospital though I'm thinking that will not be included *Kirito and Suguha's duel *Kirito visiting Asuna in the hospital and meeting Sugou *Kirito's depression and being comforted by Suguha *Agil introducing Kirito to ALO and showing him the images *Suguha and Recon talking at school about their plans for later (another possible discard) *Kirito making his character and logging into ALO / Maybe cut to Recon and Lyfa here and show what's going on with them or wait until after he activates Yui and finds out someone is being chased. *Kirito saving the day and his and Lyfa's journey to Slyph City *Kirito and Lyfa agreeing to be a party and travel to World Tree, Kirito logging out with Yui in the inn Pretty sure above will be the first two episodes, episode 15/16. By episode titles I think SAO arc will end in episode 14. Ep15 Return is going to be the real world stuff maybe ending in Agil showing the pictures to Kirito.

13th Ep: (1) Fishing Guild Capers (2) Short Iteration of the 75th Boss (and I hope they actually tell about the every 25th boss equals trouble + Heathcliff's damn gamebreaking incident in the 50th floor... maybe add the Kirito LAs the 50th Floor Boss and gets Elucidator?) (3) 75th Boss (Can be a couple of seconds) (4) Da Reveal (and shockers! le gasp! cries of hax from the anime-followers.) 14th Ep: (1) Epic Duel (2) Asuna's Death (3) Kirito killing Heathcliff (4) End of Aincrad Arc.

As a huge fan of the first two SAO volumes, I hate Fairy Dance pretty strongly. Hopefully the anime will fix some of my gripes with it! |

I felt like Kirito got turned into a really generic Mary Sue hero and it got more and more evident that this was the same man behind Accel World. The battles lacked any sort of tension, Yui got turned into little cute sidekick/infodumper, Asuna was a damsel in distress the whole damn time and I don't think Suguha was nearly as interesting as the author probably thought she was.
That's just how I feel about it though! |
