I have the one where she have a Marylin Monroe-ish pose and the Nendoroid.
The GSC version is the best one, I think

If there are dust ''spots'' on a figurine, a cold water immersion can't harm, right ?

No, but won't take it off either. When it dries, some of the dust will still be there.
Rub it off with a smooth cloth or use a makeup brush.

If it's too settled in for a cloth or a toothbrush to take it off, the trick I described a few pages back for taking smoke damage off of figures will work.

Basically you just stick a mechanical pencil eraser in the chuck of a dremel or a drill and use it like a small power buffer on the affected area. Works great and doesn't damage the surface (it's even safe on the eyes, and similar areas).

If it's too awkward, a "kneaded" eraser applied by hand can achieve the same effect, just takes a lot more elbow grease.

What do you means by a kneaded eraser?

Wiki entry on kneaded erasers

Basically a kind of eraser that picks up pencil marks / other small dusty particles. It doesn't grind down like the "buffing" action of a "normal" eraser which works by rubbing away the marks.

Can be found in the art / office department of most big stores, or hobby shops.

Don't do art, but why you need elbow grease? ^^

In that case, would old bread work too?

Just from having to rub on it. It's always easier if you have power tools to do the job for you.

I'm not sure I'd trust old bread, it's kinda abrasive. And it might make the figures smell like a sandwich.

On another note, i'm actually looking to see what is the most expensive figure due to rarity on AmiAmi, comparing to its original price

The winner so far is Alter Gertrud Barkhorn of almost 49k Yen, 6 times more expensive that its original value.... The strange thing is: the non-exclusive version B/B only costs 5.5k. Did they seal unopened box with cat girl virginity or something 0_0

Anyone know one that can beat that?

Edit: and wow, i know i'm fickle but this figure looks amazing:http://myfigurecollection.net/item/7...other/date/8/2
The problem is it costs $70 just for shipping. So will need some massive self pat in the back for me to buy it

anime jungle is partnering with hobby japan at anime expo this year for their figure exclusives. i know leviathan and asmodeus easily go for twice the amount in the aftermarket. that's a pretty insane deal. must... resist!...

i have this little sweetie headed my way in a few days;

- i already have a set of undies made up for her.
they were made using my TSUKUDA HOBBY "Shaorin"
as the model, to they will fit Multi-chan perfectly;

well, it seems that the seller of the doll in the post above slipped up and sent me the wrong doll,
so it seems i'll just be getting them in the reverse order of which i had intended, no problem.

the seller has owed up to her mistake, refunding me slightly over shipping cost.
i'll just put that to the other doll next month.

anyway, this doll is huge, like a full 15in. or so. TSUKUDA HOBBY sure seemed to have an awful lot
of inconsistencies throughout the course of their "Full Action Doll Series" doll line.
AFAIK, most of their dolls, series regardless, were all around 12 or so inch,
certainly every one i've gotten until now. for whatever reason, they had decided to go somewhat jumbo
with this three-doll ToHeart line of theirs, scaling their body design up to a full 15in.
and including double-jointed elbows that actually facilitate a full range of movement,
something their other dolls are simply incapable of;

I have a question about display.

I purchased 2 display cabinet (the IKEA Deltof ones) and while they are gorgeous, they have two slight issues

1)Because my floor is not perfectly even, the top of the door is not closing perfectly. If I don't really care about this small gab, this don't really matter, correct ?

2)Anyone have a good-looking option to display several ''rows'' of small figurines in one enclose space ? (Example : two rows of Nendoroid)

Probably not, but a few pieces of felt/cardboard to level it out would fix the issue with minor fuss

I would look for polycarbonate blocks or risers
