TV anime 'Last Period: Owarinaki Rasen no Monogatari' Announced for Spring 2018. Studio is J.C Staff.

Plot:

The story takes place in a world where fantastic beasts called "Spirals" are born from isolation. Those who can defeat the beasts are called "Periods." Haru is an apprentice Period who belongs to the Arc End 8th Branch. However, after a mysterious theft incident, there is an economic collapse, and the Arc End headquarters abandons the 8th Division, leaving only three Periods left, including Haru. Haru and the other two Periods start their work to rebuild the 8th Division.

I usually enjoy mobage adaptations a lot and this one isn't an exception. I came in expecting some standard serious fantasy fanfare and satire is what I'm staying for. The characters are really adorable and each has a distinctive quirk going for it. How the narration play, the overall story formula and the comedy all work surprisingly well, and so far it doesn't seem to take itself seriously. The jokes are treated with care and there's some fun going on as Haru and his party are working their asses off overcoming obstacles and hilarity ensues. But that's not all the show has them though, there's a bit of suspense regarding the Art Branch 8 and Campanella's identity. Overall a decent start and a clever way of spending some time with it at the end of the day.

Quite the shock to start this episode, the whole branch was robbed and they lost everything and gotta start from scratch.

Everyone likes Haru and his cheerful personality.

At least Gajeru managed to get at least something back, feel sorry for him as I have a Hatsune Miku collection.

1000 a piece, she could have probably got them back at double for 200, they must have been really important.

I like how Choco keeps putting down the writing team calling them lazy because of what's happening.

I had a feeling someone really weak would come out of that call system.

After all that Wiseman had to leave so the get the job anyway.

They completed the job in the end, it wasn't much pay but it's a start towards rebuilding everything.

Ok first episode, I will continue to watch.

Self aware bunny is funny and sexy. Villains don't seem as funny as Ange Vierge's baka duo, but it was still enjoyable.

Huh, well, there wasn't exactly much to watch today, so I tried this out, despite having no interest in this game-adaption anime.
But it actually turned out to be surprisingly funny. The pink-hair being the enemy was a pretty amusing surprise, and the OP/ED are pretty energetic. Still a few scenes with bad jokes, but overall positive.
And of course, the JC quality and character designs are pretty good.

That was wonderfully meta, Wiseman's idea of making an anime.

I nearly dropped this show early on in episode 1 thinking "here comes another cod fantasy anime", but it is turning out to be wonderfully daft.

This episode may have caught me in a better mood, or maybe the anime jokes work better for me than the mobage jokes. Either way, I found this one notably funnier than the first one.

Iona is such a hilariously adorable, hyper, cheerful little scammer.

Oh and there was some moderately decent fanservice, too, lampshaded (as always) by Choco.

Supposedly the game the series is based on has been doing a Higurashi crossover recently. Not sure how they're going to make that fit here, but it should be... interesting.

Loved how the threat Yens(ie real life money) like addiction...the whale syndrome.

That whole metafictional Humor of the game developers and the Higurashi colaboration, this anime knew how to play it pretty well.

So yeah Liza there was a ghost at the end.
