if you want consistent, Myssa, you can try running around in circle killing elites
on inferno act 1 with 5 NV buffs. just liike how i got that "Biting Crack" axe earlier
and sold it for 5 million gold! maybe i was just lucky, but i thought that would
be more consistent while you'll also get some tomb of secrets and more gems
to convert and sell? pretty neat, huh? *says Xefi whose have no experience on selling stuffs!* lol.

Amethysts are generally only used in two areas. Helms and Weapons.

Emeralds though, are often used in armour slots, which can reach a maximum of 5-6 depending on whether a shield is equipped. They are also used in Weapons for people who have sufficient gear to farm content for the additional DPS.

Cheers.

Hmm...
The gong price of gold in outside trading like playerauction is around $0.18 per 100k, significantly lower than the in-game $0.32.

If someone wants a lot of blizz dollars, one could make some profit there.

You can have 3000+ LOH without gem, a star gives you 300 LOH.
You can have 300+ crit dmg without gem, a star gives you 70 crit dmg.
See the difference?

They should rename most of the items to that so it can stop wasting my time.

But you can only know the item's name after identifying it

Heh, I found an ilevel 61 dagger a few weeks back called awful blade: 172.5 dps, 106 int 662 life after kill.
I'm still keeping it for the lol factor.

I just love seeing elite monsters drop one blue! Then once you get 5 stacks they drop a yellow. :S

Well, when my stash gets full I just stuff into stash and ID them at the end. It takes so long to id each item. Cain should do ID them all in d2 at once... oh wait he's fucking dead.

They can't all suck can they?
Spoiler:

Edit: Nothing exciting. A few weren't worthless, but none too usable.

Dont write off blues, i sold a 1.2k dps crossbow for 5m+ ^.^
Kinda funny how people paid that much for it when my yellow 800dps crossbow with 150% crit dmg increase adds does the same amount of dps at less than 10% of the price.

Um no, if they already have crit dmg from other gear, then a xbow with 1200 dps will out-dps a xbow with 800 dps and 150% crit dmg.

Yes, we finally beat Azmodan on our two barbs, even though our gear is not the greatest. I'm currently sitting at 50k life, 800 ar buffed and 19k dmg with a shield and my friend at even less. Some champion packs where downright impossible for us to defeat, especially with the affixes molten and fire chains. The bosses where rather easy, though. The spider queen was a funny encounter. That fight must have lasted close to ten minutes. She had been long since enraged when we finally struck her down. Luckily, the only thing that changes when she enrages is that she moves a lot quicker. It was really hard to get our offense going this way. It was a constant change of position, especially with the gazillion little spiders that deal a ton of damage, but yeah, we made it through somehow.

Now that we've defeated act 3, act 4 should be doable as well. People keep saying that the trash mobs aren't noticably stronger than those at the end of act 3. However, Diablo is what I'm worried about, especially phase 2.

On another note, I finally dropped playing my monk. He's just too boring to play. Instead I leveled up a demon hunter, who's playstyle I enjoy much more. It's all about hitting the right mobs at the right time as well as using smoke screen and preperation correctly. You're forced to make very quick decisions and to be constantly on the run. I feel as though the demon hunter as the one class where player skill makes the biggest difference in succes.

Well, I would bash Blizzard, but they do a good job themselves. I like how they just locked the thread most likely to avoid people like me from posting.

Not really, it's players' playstyle rather than the class.
There are facetank DHs and there are glass cannon monks.

^I was talking about the most common usage of the classes, obviously.

Anyway, Inferno completed!

I have a feeling if I ever finish Inferno I will stop playing until the expansion. Gear hunting is too painful.

Indeed. If and when I finally defeat Inferno Diablo with my friends, I'm going to step back from the game for a while. The ridiculous item requirements to even GET there will have probably taken its toll by then, so a break would be in order.

before you can get to Diablo, you'll have to get through these guys first.
they kill me in 2 hits. i have about 48k HP too. they didnt have the fast affix
but can still outrun me when i have 25% speed boost. well, i manage to kill them
but i also lost about 20k gold in repair bill.

Templar: There! A worthy foe!
Me: I am losing strength!
Xefizyxen: was slain by a Soul Ripper! >________<
Spoiler:

i finally beat Beliah on inferno, but now i'm stuck on Ghom. i can get his health
down to half, but then the room was already fill with his poison. i'm going to come
back here once i have higher DPS. my dps was kind of low for act 3 inferno anyways. things
were not falling down fast enough. *back to farming boring act 1*

But gear hunting is the entire point of this game, killing Diablo is easy

I played a Monk with gear worths less than 3 million, teaming with a Barb providing Warcry and Diablo basically did no damage to me. I didn't even bother avoiding his cage.

Diablo in Inferno doesn't seem to be an issue for some people, but GETTING to Diablo IS for many. Add in random latency issues, lag spikes, elite mobs with stupid affixes and well...

the only reason why i wanted to get to Diablo is just so that i can enter the pony land. i'm not joking.
but since i'm stuck at Ghom, pony land will have to be delay even further...meh. once i can enter inferno pony land,
who cares about Diablo anymore? she just an eyesore.
