Senpai wa Otokonoko (Senpai Is an Otokonoko) anime adaptation announced today

Plot:

Makoto Hanaoka, a womanly second-year student, easily attracts other people's attention. First-year student Saki Aoi is no exception, and she falls in love with Makoto at first sight. Having a vibrant and vigorous personality, she does not hesitate to confess her feelings to her senior. However, Makoto differs significantly from the person Saki perceives: Makoto is not a girl, but rather a cross-dressing boy!

After revealing his well-known secret to Saki, Makoto expects her to be disgusted. Surprisingly, she is instead captivated by this revelation. Nonetheless, he still rejects her, but Saki's determination does not stop her from declaring that she will become his first love. With Saki and his childhood friend at his side, Makoto's world brightens, giving him strength amid his struggle between his interests and the expectations placed on him.

The title sounds like Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!(Tomo-chan is a girl!) This title is Senpai is a boy. Maybe they are not related. The story seems to focus on Japanese guys whose hobbies are cross dressing. Some Japanese delinquents are said to cross dressing, too.

Also, your tastes are something. There is a whole bunch of popular VNs that play otokonoko+girls perfectly fine (Rui wa Tomo wa Yobu, Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru, Otome Riron to Sono Shuuhen from the top of my head). OtoBoku even got a few animes.

You're thinking about crossdressing. I don't put those two in the same category. Otokonoko are the gay ones for straight guys, Crossdressing is straight and more story-based and the characters crossdressing are doing so for a reason outside of just wanting to flirt with guys
From the synopsis of this, it is more cross-dressing, but the title is misleading
Of course, there is no official definition, but that's where I draw the line

Sorry, not my fetish. The thing is that "otokonoko" just means crossdressing boy and just having it in the title does not equal a specific 18+ trope. So it is an odd complaint.

Otokonoko is a guy that is pretty much female in every way other than his genitals
There are some people that try to make them a bit more masculine, but the more masculine they get, the more Yaoi is feels and less for men
That's why they are 男の娘
While crossdressing genre is 女装
