Loli in a basket. It's cute, but I worry about how sunproof that setup is.

That said one thing that is bothering me tho is why there are a lot people living away from settlements and cities when you can be killed so easily by demons in the middle of nowhere. I mean these guys literally come into your home and eat you. I've no sign of some kind of ward these type of stories usually have.
Maybe the ones living successfully outside the settlements are paying protection fees to the demons. The ones getting killed aren't paying off the demons.

Possibly even longer, since the one with the wisdom about demons was their grandma, meaning their father/mother generation most likely never encountered one.

I enjoyed the second episode better. It seemed the directing was more on point here.

Nezuko can make herself smaller too. That's convenient, and cute. She also packs quite a punch. Or should I say kick? As far as I can tell she didn't even have to go buff to send that demon's head flying. Incidentally, demons are really resilient. I'm guessing Tanjirou won't have to crush some heads and magic sword will do the trick to kill them though.

Oh don't worry, after she gets in, it's further wrapped with a large cloth!

It did cross my mind that pehaps there might have been enough demon slayers that demons moved carefully at night but two incidents now where none arrived in time, heck in the second attack not single one showed up. Now I'm sure if there just not enough forces

The bodies have bite marks and chunks torn out of them. Unless there influx of cannibal bandits, I find it hard to believe wouldn't know demon did it. Plus IIRC we had two people in the between the first and second episodes warning that going out at night is dangerous. Now I'm not saying there are necessarily constant demon attacks but seem frequently and worse spontaneously enough that you putting yourself at pretty decent risk not living by a nearby town. At very least people know they exist.

Anyway maybe the next episodes will offer a better explanation and things will make a bit more sense in this regard.

I actually have the same problem with Inuyasha which is more egregious when it comes to the prevalent existence of youkai or Japanese demons in what's supposed to be our ancient Japan. I mean, in Inuyasha-verse (or Rumiko-verse), demons literally exist and flourish in every region of ancient Japan. They often devoured village-worth of humans, fought each other for supremacy, and many of these demons have the power to obliterate regular samurai armies easily. You'd think with that many power-hungry superpowered beings running around, swimming around, and flying around Japan (even in broad daylight), they'd easily topple human kingdoms and the likes of Nobunaga Oda wouldn't even have the chance to unite Japan and Kagome's modern Japan wouldn't exist. Heck, even at the end of the saga, the demons are still shown flourishing in ancient Japan, yet Kagome's modern Japan is perfectly fine & normal. Did the demons suddenly decide to go low profile at some point in the history?

Here's hoping Kimetsu's world-building wouldn't be as baffling as Inuyasha . Right now, it's still pretty acceptable.

Kicking off that demon's head was badass! Those demons are really resilient though, head kicked off, body broke its neck and it still was alive. But a tiny bit of sunlight already finished it off. Guess you always would want to attack demons at day time in hopes to push them outta their hiding spots into the death rays of the sun.

Any corpse will look that way after being left few days with bears and wolves even ones killed by humans. And yes it's safe assume Tanjirou was simply "lucky".

And honestly, majority people wouldn't move out just because someone got killed few miles away.

A white cloth, not a blackout curtain.

Shortly after the end, Kagome and Inuyasha's cooties exchange created a super plague. Highly contagious and absolutely deadly to youkai, while humans are asymptomatic carriers. The survivors, if there are any, now flee humans like, well, the plague.

Who needs world-building when you can have fights that last for 15 chapters at a time, where everyone on both sides has chapter-long flashbacks in midfight that unlock new hidden potential at least twice per battle?

I'm willing see it as Tanjiro having elder god tier bad luck too, but it is still a weird incongruity when he just happens to run into another demon attack in another remote location just a day after his own experience and people are commonly aware of these things. I'd also imagine highwaymen would less of a fear becasue even they would be targets making even them cautious. I guess the average peasent really can't do anything about since living in a city is probably to expensive can serve as one explanation but..

Well itt is nothing that will make me drop the show despite the blemish tho

Maybe ufotable will smooth out that out here... or maybe not seeing as how they handled the internal monologue relative to action scenes in episode 1 was pretty worrying. My focus shouldn't have shifted to the fact Nezuko has pinned down Tanjiro for like 5 mins now in real time.

loli in pit, loli in basket, muzzled attack dog loli.....This is too cute.

Also I seriously thought Tanjiro was going crush the oni's head with his own head what with that earlier scene referring to how thick his skull was

Well, he was sent to a Demon Hunter, who presumably would be where there is suspected Demon activity so he can hunt them.

Good news. I'm assuming spilt cour, though. Has Ufotable ever done two cours back to back?

For my memories, it has always worked with split cour, Fate Zero and FSN (2015) and even God Eater.
