Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199 will be set in the year 2207. This will be a 26 episode series, and will add a few more characters from Yamato III into it.

I wouldn't expect this series to start coming out in theaters until Spring of 2024, based on previous examples of show announcement and actual release.

Includes character art, mecha art, and some storyboards.

No release date yet, but if this page is coming out, I would expect a Winter or Spring 2024 release.

ITHEKRO: has there been ANY news from Bandai about models??? Considering the grand effort of 2199....the lies from 2202 (i.e. 1 Comet Empire ship @ 1/1000 and the 3 ship EDF set (BB + Cruiser + DD) that was promised and never emerged and the lackluster presentation of 2205 I am left wondering WTF.......

The first chapter should be just two episodes. So basically, the start of Be Forever, Yamato plot wise. But with some new elements thrown in. The Earth fleets actually putting up a fight. The Bolar and Galman conflict as a backdrop perhaps.

But they have 26 episodes to work this story out. Be Forever, Yamato was a long film, but it was not that long. So they will have to work in a lot of new stuff into this plot in addition to possibly elements of Yamato III's plot into the mix as a large part of Yamato III's plot can't work presently due to how close Gamilas and Earth are in the present day.

A question is Sasha. It is fair to say that it is her eye we see in close up in this teaser. But what will her story be? There is already an out for her aging up quickly...she's an energy being at the core. We saw her as a ball/soul before she turned into a baby. It has been two years, but if she is essentially a mix of Starsha and Mamoru's souls, she was "born" in 2199/2200. "Age" her up at twice speed and she would appear roughly 16 years old from a December/January birthdate.

The Gamilon Ambassador or Melda's father would pulled a Mamoru Kodai Suicide move by saving the leaders of Earth Federation from been executed but just might possible.

Depends if they do the suicide to save people plot. Japan culture has shifted since 1980. Heroic sacrifice maybe, but probably not an intentional belly bomb these days.
