And that is pretty lame, if that is indeed the message of the show, and the end state for this character. But I have a feeling there will be more to it. Considering the tropey and out-there setting, I was surprised by how smart the character writing was.

Interesting art and animation.
The characters are nonsense, gifted sister character with an opposite (non-existent) set of moral boundaries. The brother barely seems bothered, but I guess at least sort of retreated at the end of the ep. Not sure if that will go anywhere, but it seems like things will go how the crazy sister has planned since there was a shot of that plot notebook.

This series balances on the edge of being dropped for me as it is a bit to lewd to be wholesome and not funny enough to watch it as comedy. But I'll at least wait for other characters to show. Maybe they'll lifen up the interactions. Also, for some reason it is not available on CR in my location despite the site saying only Asia and German-speaking Europe are excluded.

It's...oddly wholesome?
On the surface, it is very close to being lewd (if not over the line), and in presentation it very much knows what it is. The quality of the animation very smooth despite the simple style art. But content-wise, it ends up becoming a story about two 'sisters' pushing each other out of their respective comfort zones so they can grow. They do genuinely care for each other, they just go about it in unconventional ways. It's compare it most to Imouto sae Ireba Ii (presentation, lewd-level, and art style) and Nagatoro (plot and character development), but more heavily leaning toward the former because it is heavily-weighed toward introversion otaku behavior and fooling around for gags. |

The imouto character not only has strange moral standards, but double standards too, like with the way the episode ended.
"Have some tact." Pot meet kettle ffs. I'm not sure what the show is getting at; after the bath, Mashiro remembers when he was bathing with the sister years ago. So what's the connection now, she's teaching him how to bathe properly as a girl? It's just very odd.

Heck, that is the moral of the popular and now old colombian soap opera "Yo soy Betty la fea". The first thing to come to mind after reading your comment. See, I really despise stories with this message "you're not living your life right". For this reason I evaded that Tomozaki-kun anime as the plague. I like this one because presentation and framework as it have things that I consider fun: genderbent, cute characters, situational comedy, lightly lewd situations and good animation. Gonna stick with this one for that. Last edited by CrowKenobi; 2023-01-18 at 00:57. Reason: Please use the “edit” button to add content to your post instead of triple posting |
