I'm not fond of the Bane and Catwoman designs here.

In Catwoman's case, I don't even see how "realism" helps Nolan's case here. It's realistic for Catwoman to wear a cowl so her hair can't be used against her in combat (especially if it's as long as it appears in that one shot). From the neck down, I don't have a major problem with Catwoman's design, but she really should wear a cowl, in my mind.

In Bane's case, his outfit just looks too... pedestrian. Too normal. Frankly, he looks a bit like a Cobra reject from a G.I. Joe movie.

Nolan could get away with adding more realism to Joker's look, because a guy perpetually in clown make-up is going to stand out regardless (additionally, the scar actually helped differentiate Nolan's Joker from a typical clown appearance). But in Bane's case, the guy was already one of Batman's more realistic looking villains in the actual comics. There really is such a thing as too much realism (and that's coming from someone that generally values it). Superheroes (and supervillains) should ideally come off as a bit larger than life. You can make them look too normal.

What made the leather outfits in the X-Men movies work (for example) was Cyclops' visor, Storm's all-white eyes while using her powers, Wolverine's wild hair, and so on and so forth. Their outfits looked nicely functional/utilitarian/'non-cheesy', but there was still an element to each character that helped him or her to stand out visually.

With this in mind, Bane looks entirely too normal in the shots I've seen of him so far. I hope Nolan doesn't overdo it on the realism side.

Spoiler for minor TDKR spoilers:
Are you sure Rob Zombie didn't write that?

Even If the suits didnt look bad, you have to agree that the ones used on X-men first class looked better.

If there were a stripper half as decent looking as Anne Hathaway at my local strip club, I'd be their weekly dropping $30 on a lap dance. It's probably safe to assume that's a plausible way for her to "get rich."

No, Frank Miller wrote most of the basic details for this version of Selina Kyle.

No, the basic modern version of Selina Kyle is a kid growing up on the streets who eventually becomes an amazing burglar before deciding to become Catwoman after seeing Batman in action.

It is entirely possible. Selina Kyle only becomes Catwoman well after becoming a world class thief. It all depends on what Nolan wants to do with the character.

Personally, I'm interested to see if Nolan includes any of her family in the movie.

That's not entirely accurate. The Timmverse is fairly recent, and in it, Selina Kyle is a wealthy socialite on a level comparable to Bruce Wayne.

Personally, that's the interpretation of Selina's character that I like the best, since it adds a lot to the compare-and-contrast between Batman and Catwoman.

lol, I dont want to go to any of your local stripclub.

Triple_R, when James said modern version, he is speaking in the comic book universe, not animated universe.

The stripper part is also something taken from a comic book as well.

Well, I'm just going to wait and see how things turn out, I still think it's too early for any really strong opinions. As I've said before, I remember people bashing Ledger's Joker when the first photos were released... and here we go again

It does seem we haven't seen the full costume of either bane or catwoman.

With Batman Begins the suit changes a few times as well as in Dark Knight.

Joker's appearance changed as well throughout the movie.

In this case we have Bane topless with just the mask which probably is when he's bulked up on steriods or whatever and a second picture that shows him wearing body armour.

For Catwoman at the moment she's just wearing a suit with high tech goggles.

If we add in that cowl into Anne's costume I don't see much of a difference except for the aesthetics and lining in the suits.

But for a cat burgular realistically speaking long hair should be tied up anyways assuming she does get an updated version later on or she lost the cowl in that shot.

You know, the scene with catwoman in a jumpsuit could just be her very first appearance there. The costume can easily change in the movie to something much more fitting for her. I'm just saying.

You know, I'm on the fence about Bane here.

Well, the first shot with him topless was great for me, the one with the coat, well...yeah.

And I've never liked Catwoman anyway, that chick from 'Mask of the Phantasm' though...

For Batman's final fight against Bane, they should totally bust out the Knightfall outfit:
