Is there any reason why you guys want Alibaba to do something big? Is it because Aladdin is a major disappointment as main character, and now you guy are seeking for the alternative that you can root for? If that's the case, Sinbad or En are not good?

Alibaba is only interesting to read when it comes to his love quest. Politicking is obviously not suitable for Alibaba because he doesn't even want to take lead. He prefers to get pushed around because he believed that the throne is never meant to belonged for him.

The reason why Hakuryuu can go big now because he HAS a goal albeit not a good one, but still a goal for him to strives. Alibaba? He prefers to wash Aladdin's shoes every single day than doing something big. Governing Balbad is obviously something too big for him to stomach.

Personally, it's not like I want him to do something big. I'm expecting him to do something big. It seems pretty telegraphed that he's going to be a key players, if not the key player in saving the world.

That's it. He cares about the people, no about leading. That's why he'd make the best ruler.

True. But there's something called character development. For instance, he chose to side with Koen even though Aladdin wouldn't want that. Slowly, he's becoming more independent and self-assured.

That development was more or less over the span of +200 chapters, quite slow. And there's been a timeskip. Then again, you can't say he has traveled much around the world.

He does have the ability. Even Kouen could tell there's more to him than meets the eye, and Aladdin knows it too. Alibaba's problem isn't lack of skills, it's lack of self-confidence. And that's something he'll overcome eventually.

Man, I had no Internet connection for 3 days straight and I got back only to found out Haku actually fall into depravity. Sad as it is, I kinda agree with him, not everyone can let go of their hatred. His reaction is realistic and true as a human being. But I can see that will not stop anyone from debating

Let's just say this wasn't the only thread he was on and leave it at that...

That is Haku's point as well - that what he's doing is well within reason of being a human so why does he have to give that up to satisfy other people's expectations of not only himself, but of how the world should be?

Warning: Done in a rush, and as usual, please note that my level of Japanese is basic at most, so I cannot guarantee the following snippets are completely accurate. In other words, these can be completely wrong, and I left some parts out because I didn’t understand them - besides, this week’s chapter was particularly difficult for me ;_;

The chapter starts in a Kou base (I think) with Judal wondering what does Hakuryuu intend to do, and then shifts to two days before, the day they left the Dungeon. After leaving it, Judal wants to go defeat Gyokuen at once, but Hakuryuu stops him.
He wonders something I don’t completely understand - probably that Judal wanted to kill everyone in Al-Thamen for a while now, but he couldn’t do it. Judal replies that the old hag (Gyokuen) is strong, among other things.
Hakuryuu agrees, and aks Judal to go “somewhere out of [Al-Thamen’s] reach” to train their powers.
Back in the present, Hakuryuu shocks the soldiers by saying he’s going to get back the country from its usurpers, Gyokuen and Kouen.
The captain of the soldiers denies that Kouen is an usurper, and fiercely defends him. Hakuryuu then uses Belial’s power on him.
The following day, Hakuryuu is combining the powers of Zagan and Belial to get the forces he needs to fight Gyokuen.
Judal: "Belial really is great!!". Judal is also protecting this place from Al-Thamen by creating a barrier like the one in Magnostadt. Hakuryuu asks him since when he can create such a thing.
Judal replies that inside “that guys” black rukh… was Matal Mogamett, who was probably the most knowledgeable of all the human magicians. With that, he will become stronger and stronger.
And so, Judal and Hakuryuu continued to acquire new powers (including Hakuryuu using magoi manipulation to analyze the soldiers’ bodies). After ten days, Hakuryuu announces time’s up.
And so, the two of them start laughing and… TBC in Magi 246 :P

what a twist!

-Hakuryuu owned sinbad in djinn manipulation he also beat kouen..but kouen is not a "singularity".so..
-Hakuryuu can use special(awesome) arrows
-Hakuryuu mindfuck kou warriors through an illusion of kouen killing the imperial family..it can only last 7-14 days
- in reality when al-thamen was killing the old imperial family , kouen was, supposedly in fenix dungeon
-judal is tired after studying the black rukh
-Hakuryuu owned al-thamen dudes like a boss
-the flag of rebellion are ready

- al-thamen is around the world

Hakuryuu manage to do a lot of thing in less than a month and he is beating a few big shots in the djinn and magoi manipulation fields/areas

belial is broken as f*ck!!
