@trenton_dawn: thanks for the tabs dude. it's accurate. (and since i know you like being praised, hehe) great job... wait, can i ask something? what do you guys think i should invest to, a better amp, or a mutli-guitar effects? (although this question is better suited in the musical instruments thread, but since the topic about amps and effects have been brought up, and this thread is more active anyways, hehe)

I play guitar and stuff

Thread is now about guitars and stuff because there's no new songs coming for like a month :P
Get a nice amp. Seriously, my friend has a multi effects pedal for his tiny Marshall amp. It's really got nothing on my Vypyr :P As for recording, I use a cable from the headphone jack on the amp to my PC. Just get a nice amp like the Vypyr or one of the Fender amps. I like my Vypyr because it has so many effects and tone options (something like 10 amp models and 28 effects) Also I'm going to be buying myself a new guitar. It's either going to be this: http://www.promenademusic.co.uk/imag...d1-500x500.jpg or http://www.dv247.com/assets/products/40933_l.jpg Most likely the Mustang as it sounds really really awesome. I still like the feel of the Telecaster, but the Mustang really does appeal to me. It's also got a load of tone options as the humbuckers can be split up into singles. I just need to get my hands on one to try...

we can just move this discussion to this forum Here for the sake of this discussion thread that way this thread will be less cluttered of the things that are sorta not on topic. you know just so other people can find things easier related to the topic i guess amp settings can be an exception since it goes hand and hand with the music you play
@ LightMusicBand I would get a better Amp Last edited by Afternoon Tea; 2011-11-13 at 16:03. |

My Sample Settings
My Sample Settings
I use a Marshall Amp, but really you can use these settings on any amp, and still get a good sound. Basically these are my starting point settings, which I can alter, and modify if needed. feel free to experiment, and remember some settings can vary depending on your volume and master volume. key: (optional) these are all out of 10 Style: Rock Channel: Distortion Settings: Gain- 3 Treble- 6 (7) Mid- 7 Bass- 7 Reverb- 0 (2) Master- 6 Channel: Clean Settings: Gain- 9 Treble- 6 Mid- 7 Bass- 7 Reverb- 0 (2) Master- 8 Style: Pop Channel: Distortion Settings: Gain- 7 Treble- 6 (7) Mid- 7 Bass- 7 Reverb- 0 (2) Master- 8 Channel: Clean Settings: Gain- 5 Treble- 6 Mid- 4 Bass- 7 Reverb- 0 (2) Master- 10 Style: Metal Channel: Distortion Settings: Gain- 10 Treble- 9 Mid- 3 Bass- 9 Reverb- 0 (2) Master- 10 Channel: Clean Setting: Gain- 8 Treble- 6 (7) Mid- 4 Bass- 7 Reverb- 0 (2) Master- 10 Style: Country Channel: Clean Settings: Gain- 3 Treble- 7 Mid- 5 Bass- 5 Reverb- 0 Master- 10 Style: Jazz Channel: Clean Settings: Gain- 2 Treble- 3 Mid- 7 Bass- 7 Reverb- 0 Master- 10 Style: Funk Channel: Clean Settings: Gain- 4 Treble- 9 Mid- 4 Bass- 5 Reverb- 0 Master- 10 Last edited by Afternoon Tea; 2011-11-15 at 08:29. |

Here's my "classic rock overdrive" K-ON setting for a Zoom G1XN pedal, which I use for all the insert songs as well as songs such as Guitar ni Kubittake or Houkago Tea Time. For convenience of people using different equipment I've given the maximum values too. Boost effect: 5 (out of 9) Gain: 30 (out of 30) Amp model: Marshall JCM2000 EQ: 3/3/3 (range -18 to 18) Chorus: 1 (out of 9) rate 15 (out of 50) Delay 1 (out of 9) value 50 ms Reverb: Arena, 2 (out of 9) Here's my "distortion" K-ON setting. I would use this for songs like Don't say lazy, Over the Starlight, or Singing. Compressor effect: 6 (out of 9) Gain: 30 (out of 30) Amp model: Diezel Herbert EQ: -6/11/6 (range -18 to 18) Reverb: Tiled room, 5 (out of 9) I'll see about getting some example sounds up if I can figure out a good recording setup.

Tone examples. Actually I think this is the first time I've uploaded my actual playing here. It's not that great, unfortunately, I haven't practiced these songs in a while.

15sai no March is done. Easy song to tab. Fairly strict rhythm, little syncopation.

@BigSmokeDawg: dude, one word: RAZZZYYY!!! hell yeah (plis dun say you are RAZZZYYY). get it??... XD
i especially like the harmonics part. why don't you do the full version of the song? it's not much different from the tv version anyways. oh yeah, choose the Mustang dude. so cool looking, and you don't see that as often as the telecaster these days. at least, from what i see. plus, it kinda reminds me of something, or someone. (i think you know who she is). @trenton_dawn: dude, one word: yaaaaayyyy!!! many thanks to the tab man!!! well, dec 3 is very near. if all comes to plan, i could share my surprise to this page. hehehehe.... (but i have to fix my strings first)
