There are different types of Moe tho...
in K-ON's case, Mio is the main Moe for being the "clumsy tsundere moe", while Yui is just "clumsy moe". There's no real "purest form" What Moe means is "something that's interesting to a person to the point of passion" like "Maid Moe" means cute people dressed in maid dress. or Nekomimi Moe (very very common)... as you can probably tell, "Cat Ear Moe" |

I can't agree. Tsumiki has the nekomimis when it matters, which deepens the moe aspect. Just as you only need a pinch of spice to flavor a dish, there is just the right amount. That's why Acchi Kocchi is so good: It is subtle.

The jokes and punchlines were a miss for me, but Tsukimi is moe enough to give me type II diabetes in just the first episode episode. Basically this is what Acchi Kocchi is in a nutshell.
HNNNNNNNGHH!!!!

This series will definitely turn me diabetic at this rate, considering the moe overflow
Anyway, a pleasant and relaxing series, no doubt. It isn't really common to have that much moe, with characters having that much of chemistry together. Having all the 5 main characters having roughly the same spotlight (albeit Io and Tsukimi do have the lead ) help a ton as well. Also, for a 4koma, the transitions are smooth, so it doesn't feel particularly disjointed. And to think I thought they would be fine with ep1, ep2 make other references to SF (lol Zangief and dudley's move ) Gotta be a keeper for this season :]

The OP makes me want to drop napalm on the moe home world, but absolutely everything else sends me into a giggling happy "d'awwwww" trance for 20 consecutive minutes. I love this show, even if I never live it down.
Hime's derp-face is funnier every time I see it. Io is pretty tremendous in his own way too; in spite of being unflappable, he comes off as very genuine, which is refreshing in this sort of gag show. Is Miiko angling for Io's affections too, or was Sakaki just messing with him? |
