Ai is quickly becoming one of my favorite Yacht girl. She fits the badass adorable trope to a T. So cute... yet so awesome. I could see her winning that competition.

I'm looking forward to how Hilde will do as well. I'm gonna laugh hard if she cheats again (this time, I doubt she'll manage to get away with it though).

Well seems someone is protecting Marika until she graduates than will have to decide what side of the armed forces she will stand for. After all pirates are considered to be a part of the military for times of war so that decision will come but for now her mother is letting her be in ignorance so she can enjoy her school days, club, and friends.

I think after their stay in the medical ship for weeks and weeks, the whole Bentenmaru crew is a bit stir crazy, and Kane was the one who snapped most visibly.

It's something Misa, Kane and Ririka were talking about at the start of the series, while Marika was still deciding on what to do. As far as we know, there's a group of 'powers' that agreed to some form of a non-aggression pact towards Marika. I'm assuming it means that while she is in High School, they refrain from, and possibly actively prevent organizations from attacking her directly. It's only been mentioned in passing several times, so this is the first time we've seen any glimpse of those involved in the pact.

In many ways it was a "plot hole" that existed for a while, but the world is well-built enough that they'd eventually get around to it.

It's simply an agreement to keep organizations from attacking or contacting/working with Marika until she graduates high school and decides what she wants to do. Given the implications of who was sitting there, it would seem that Marika, as the Captain of the Bentenmaru, will have considerable influence in the region. They've agreed to stay out of the situation until she goes full time, as they all would want influence with Marika but would have ended up fighting each other.

So, it's actually more of a "Truce" between the competing interests in the region. Which explains why Kane is involved. He's there as the Bentenmaru's proxy to make sure none of them are cheating on the agreement.

The most interesting bit is who the hooded figure was that was in the room. That'll be really important.

I have a question I trote in the head since the beginning of the anime ... why Marika call'd her mother by her first name? Ririka-san and not mom? For I must you confess at first I thought it was her "Onee-sama" sister as she call him by his first name LOL

And it was funny at the end of the episode or Mamie sees Lynn and others still lying and KO after the "attack" the Bentenmaru hahaha

But he died in a rather suspicious circumstances, and add to the fact that the crew doesn't really discuss/mourn him. It's just a wild guess, might be wrong.

Who knew that Faceman Kane had such an epic six-pack? Also, his ideas may sound a bit crazy, but he has good fundamentals to be a coach.

I found this to be an enjoyable episode overall. I'm very sure Ai will dominate the upcoming race after we saw her skills in the simulator (The Red Storm? LOL) and the wind surfing.

We also got to see more of the Bentenmaru's capabilities. Planetary bombardment? Interesting.

I wonder who is piloting the yellow yacht with the green and white sail in the preview? It seems to be Marika, but I'm not entirely sure? That turbofan ship sure was angry at it.

And then there's Dark Queen Chiaki. Perhaps that was not a mechanics suit we've been seeing in the ED all along, but her yacht racing suit? Although the collar appears somewhat different.

Yes I thought like you the famous costumes that were seen in the ending and was similar to that she'll wear for the race, like what you just be patient haha

And the race will be epic and dangerous as to what I saw in the preview participants can "damage" with other weapons?
