Chrono was the bad guy in Toy Box And Nanoha filled the role of the heroine who, stereotypically, doesn't believe the bad guy is all that bad and want's to be his friend. And then it kinda evolved into that but
Now then moving along here <<

1) The allocation for the unit is not determined by standardized rules, but the individual, arbitrary judgment of Personnel Department officers. (Time to break out the vodka and the "presents"). 2) The official purpose, at least, is to prevent the over allocation of good mages to a unit. (Or just sic them with limiters so their talents are wasted into clean air.) 3) Ranks do not necessarily equal Capability (but I thought the test was supposed to be Practical Scenario based instead of raw measurement of magical output or book testing to maximize this correlation) due to equipment and personnel effects. 4) It is thus unofficially recognized that the limiter rules are exploited for maximum advantage to some extent... 5) Mage limiters are output only, so it does not affect the Skill part of the combat coefficient. 6) The rationale is ostensibly based on policies in other units that forbid carrying heavy weapons unless absolutely necessary (Uh-huh, there are really so many tsukkomi possibilities here to mention). |

That is an awesome picture. I love the symbolism for each other, and how the picture is split in two. Nanoha's half having bits of Fate intertwined with it, as for Fate's half having the same with Nanoha, and then both of them coming together in the center. A combination thing like that would be awesome to see.

Spoiler:
I noted that both Nanoha and Fate have served as platoon commanders but haven't been given any company commands. Fate's rank is given as XO which is odd as that is a post not a rank. It is also listed as one of her qualifications. The translator couldn't find the right word for navy so platoon may be inaccurate as well. I'm curious what Hayate's card will look like.

Further, IIRC, as of age 15, Nanoha is still a 2nd Class Aviation Lieutenant. That's not high enough for a company command, usually. Nanoha simply burrowed into a specialty, and since Fate's on ship as an Executive Officer, she'd have de facto experience as a company commander (IIRC, a ship like Asura carries more than one platoon of busoukyoukuin). Then there is Fregattenkapitan, Korvettenkapitan, and Kapitanleutnant, courtesy of the Germans. In the 30s, the Soviets had an entire series of positional ranks before they decided to go back to more conventional officer ranks in mid-WWII, and the positional ranks apparently remained in unofficial favor for some time. The French IIRC also has positional ranks for their Generals at present. Quote:

Lowe, you wanna be careful with those. One of these days this thread's male population is going to die because of your Ginga Moegaton Hammer and the enormous bloodloss that comes with it
If my eyes are not tricking me I think I read "Waga Ginga" not "Waga no Ginga"
