Episode 1:

Great episode!

Well, it had an atmospheric setting with sci-fi/slice of life themes, good comedy, decent production values, and diverse cast of characters; and not to mention, the way it sets up has a host of potentials and possibly hidden secrets related to Isla. But yeah, great start, looking forward to more.

What a heartrending show. Will still be watching for now but if the depressing stuff carries on indefinitely, I might end up dropping it.

What a heartwarming first episode, I liked it. They combined the comedy and slice of very well in this anime. The ending part with Isla was really hilarious. This anime looks promising, it's on my watch list let's see how the other episodes turn out.

It has potential, but I see two problems that could bring the whole thing down for me. The totally out of place "comedy" scenes (way to ruin the mood there at the end), and the annoying tsundere. Man I fucking hate that girl.

If they stop the misplaced attempts at humor and dial down the tsundere bullshit, it could be a nice watch.

Not particularly sad but still emotive scenes, since giftias are pretty much a family member to their owners saying good-bye is not in easy task.

So far Isla carries the series, her personality is simply fantastic. But I wonder how much time she has left considering she is a "veteran".

I think the very ending scene was supposed to pull the viewer out of his/her sadness, but
Spoiler:
.

Excellent address of the topic. I will continue to watch.

A good balance of humor and emotional moments. This has potential and it has already opened a few mysteries about Isla. Looking forward to what is next.

I really love the emotional moments, especially the last one... was really sad. Leaving that aside the character design doesn't fit those moments and the context of the story.

Ep 01

An absolutely fantastic idea for a series - I will really love to see where it goes with it and how it tries to pull it off!

My only complaint about the first ep proper was that it felt a little rushed and ... jittery, for lack of a better word. Hopefully it will "slow down" a little and settle into a "calmer" pace.

I disagree. That scene at the end in particular was a total mood whiplash.

The balance worked for me despite some flaws with it. That last scene did not really bother me but I can see how other people would feel rather put off by it.

The flaw i found was how much of a clue the MC needs to get. Getting a job when he doesn't even know anything about it is just.... idek. He just irritates me.

I bet the company just doesn't want a robot uprising or somethin so they pull this livespan bs. Pretty sure it's gonna be one of those things where nothing actually happens if they live past 9 years.
