I had no idea Mikuru was the shortest person on the show next to Kyon's sister, I thought it was Yuki. I also thought her as an adult was just as tall as Kyon.

Basically 150 - 160cm is pretty much ur average asian girl height.
If your 160cm+ your a tall asian girl, if your 170cm+ Your a giant.

...Whoa, I didn't expect Kyon to be that short. My estimates for Haruhi/Yuki/Mikuru were pretty much on-target, though. I'd guessed Haruhi to be between 5'2" and 5'3", Yuki to be an inch shorter than her, and Mikuru to be an inch short than Yuki.

...Kyon, you're too short. You're almost failing the harem male lead height.

Haruhi: 5'2"
Yuki: 5'1"
Mikuru: 5'
Kyon: 5'7"
Itsuki: 5'10"
Tsuruya-san: 5'3"
Ryoko: 5'3"
Mikuru (Big): about 5'4"
Imouto-chan: about 4', if not less

I'll be cosplaying Haruhi in a few months... You don't suppose there's some way for me to grow an inch within that timespan?

Wow... they're all so teeny! Except for Itsuki. Tsuruya definitely struck me as being a bit taller, as did Haruhi XD

I'm pretty much the size of Mikuru. I didn't know she was so short like me! xD Tsuruya and Ryoko seemed taller to me, but I guess not.

Amusingly when I went to a Countdown Party in Sentosa where there were many people from USA and other western countries, I was shocked at how tall they were compared to us...

The typical western guy is at least 1.8 metres I suppose? In singapore, if you reached 170 you are considered average!

My wife is japanese-american... she's about 4'11" (149cm) and 95lbs (44kg) and all her female cousins are about an inch or two above that. *Very* typical height. Take a walk down japantown or chinatown in San Francisco and you get a clue about sticking out over the crowd (I'm 31-flavors-european stock and 6'0" (183cm) - fairly average for Texas but a bit tall for the Northwest where I live now).

I had no idea Itsuki was so tall... and I have no idea why Mikuru would grow 4" since height tends to level off in high school ---- maybe she spent time on the Moon.

I just about lost my coffee when I expanded this --- that is hilarious!

i think he meant if you are a GIRL, then that height is considered giant
