Or Alto (and Frontier) gets assimilated into the Vajra collective along with Ranka and Sheryl (presumably like Ranshe Mei), where triangles are meaningless and are neither made nor broken.

Well when they mention that disease is transerable by "bodily fluids" it's most likely how HIV is transfer by sexual contact so Alto should be safe.

1.) DVD+Blueray sales indicate that it is very successful and popular.

2.) Well, that´s the big question, isn´t it? The normal number of episodes for a season is 25. However, there are some indications floating around that it might be 28.

Then there is the thing that there is so much possible plot left to cover, that a lot of people expect some sort of extension or second season.

Lastly, we had a magazine article which had the seiyuu for Alto saying that the love triangle would end with a surprise. My personal thoughts on that are that the surprise is a second season. ^^ Only a gut feeling, because, as I said, there´s tons of plot still having to be covered, and we are very far already into the series.

For one thing, nobody ever stated it was to be 25 episodes. The official site certainly didn't. Moreover, with how the episodes are set up on the website, MF is indeed reaching that 28 episodes mark.

I realized the titles from ep 19 and future eps are song titles. I think the lyrics of the song give clues as to what's gonna happen. I don't like how the next episode sounds though with the long long goodbye

Yeah. Most of us who's been following this series religiously are expecting one or more pineapple salad to get dished out next episode for real. The question at this point is who and how many.
