I've seen the trick Nashiko used in her dream in a Fukumoto manga before, just not sure which one since so many of them have mahjong. It was done better than that though, way too easy to tell she just put a piece of paper on the tile here.

Would have liked to see Haneru's sleep-over at Nashiko's house.

Kinda surprised Riche agreed to cheat. I know it was just a friendly game so no harm was done but I would have thought she respected the game too much for that. Then again, a lot of mahjong players' philosophy is "if they don't catch me cheating, it's on them".

Well Izumi got some childhood trauma with a with a oni festival and how to get over it with some cheating in mahjong and scaring Nashiko

I totally thought Haneru was going to mess up the chicken, but everything turned out fine. The bad part is that the other girls thought the same.

With Chombo eating basically anything, I thought he was going to eat chicken too

So its a shrine visit for the new year and making some mochi from some old medicine with Riche watch the whole thing

So there play mahjong and the winner gets to draw on sleeping Riche

Behind on this one still but I tried playing some video game Mahjong (ffxiv). Taking some getting used to.

Moe and Mahjong continues to be enjoyable.

Well it just feels like a last episode with the table being broken and everyone having to go to school but at less it doesnt cost that much to fix

That was kind of a weird final episode. Depressing for the most part and then Nashiko finally decides to break the bank and repair Janta-kun and everything goes back to normal. Even get a new girl and a tease that a second season might be coming.

6/10. It was pretty lacking compared to most slice of life anime, but the characters were fun and sexy.

Yeah, it was horrible.
It's like they tried to make a mahjong anime, but realized they didn't have any ideas, so they just randomly did crap
The comedy was horrible, with constant boring references to other mahjong anime
And it sometimes was just an ad for some game

I've seen a lot of bad anime, but anime that advertise something completely different by using entire episodes? Wow... Just wow

Literally, I think I could write a similar anime. I get one idea and am allowed to do something unrelated to that idea whenever I want, right?

What the hell was this...

Ignoring that load of bollocks about one of our number being creative enough to make a better show than Pon no Michi (I'd like to see them try), Pon no Michi proved to be a superior show for introducing players to mahjong as a fun pastime than something like Saki, whereas the latter is more drama-driven and much less cathartic to watch. As an aside, the title is a clever pun that also hints at how this anime was not exclusively meant to be a mahjong anime.
