It doesn't exactly say. So far I'm at 30%, which seems to be 6.3GB according to the stats. Hence, I'm guessing around 20 GB.

Does anyone have their eyes set on a particular server? Apparently they've made the BWE list available a few hours ago and finding some Animesuki people to play with would be fun. I guess I'll be picking a NA server for now, possibly Maguuma.

I hope there is no real difference in lag between US/EU from the SEA direction as our current group are mainly EU with a few SEA. Still, bad deal for the SEAers.

I'm leaning towards the Steamspur Mountains solely because some anime bloggers I know have chosen that one and it'd be nice to get some beta time in with friends.

I also saw elsewhere some surveys showing large preferences towards Darkhaven, Sorrow's Furnace, Yak's End, and Crystal Desert.

I'd love to know what US people here are thinking on, since I'm still undecided.

We always have that random stray guy/girl who's on a different server as everyone else.

It seems I've already forgot my username and password /fail. I should have started download before I came to work today

It doesn't matter as much if people are on different servers. The only thing that matters about your home server is the WvWvW, otherwise, people can transfer servers for PvE without restriction.

^That's true for retail, yes, but for the Beta the "Guesting" feature as it is called is disabled, so you are, IIRC, limited to playing on one server in this Beta.

Granted, you do have enough gems for one transfer during the event, if that's what you meant.

Hopefully my computer will be able to handle GW1 playing in the background while I AFK in the rings, while I play GW2. I think I'm just going to spend much of this beta testing the classes and finding the perfect set-up for my character's appearance.

I want the game to come out!

Arghghghg non of my friends have decided on a server. I'm gonna arbitrarily choose Crystal Desert because it's an easy to remember name XD I hate when everyone's indecisive and then ends up all going to separate places. This seems to be happen for like every mmorpg my group plays -.-

This really is the evolution of questing in MMOs. Feels almost like an Elder Scrolls game with the way things are presented. Things really feel dynamic, even if they run off of cycles.

Haven't played Elder Scrolls so I can't comment but I can say this game is great. Even though I have some lag it is quite enjoyable.

Yea I'm suffering from serious lag as well, 1-2 seconds. A tad bit annoying, but a beta is a beta. I'm also having serious FPS drops which is kinda weird seeing how I can handle BF3 and EVE. Then again... beta.

Not getting any FPS issue, But this is my login scenario:
In.....5 minutes later disconnect....In....3 minutes later disconnect etc.
I know its beta, so im not that bothered, just was excited to play and all im playing is the login game

Ya, I can't login now either. Well, it doesn't matter since I wanted to take a break anyways but it sucks for people who want to play the game... Beta so it is all forgiven.
