VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action
VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action
This was one of the games sitting in my Steam wishlist for almost half a year, only ending up buying it last Christmas due to the Steam sale. Suffice to say it became one of the games I really, REALLY regret not buying earlier regardless of the price. Suffice to say I'm gladly amazed about how a mundane little game about a bartender and her patrons operating in a cyberpunk dystopia, just trying to get through their day to day lives, could be so... affecting. To The Moon is one of those games that also made me regret not buying it sooner. Anyone else give this a try?

Recently bought it from the Steam Summer Sale and finished my first playthrough of it.
I usually don't play VN-style games like these unless you count the Ace Attorney games. But man, did I enjoy this game. I was totally immersed and convinced of the world and its interesting characters that live in it. It has a lot of internet and meme-y jokes, but it doesn't go overboard to make you feel like it's some overly self-aware Indie game. I was really sad when I finished it. I was expecting to learn everything about everything and everyone by the end, but that wasn't the case. But I guess that's how it's supposed to be (unless you play through it again), and I'm okay with that. Last edited by blakstealth; 2017-07-10 at 19:40. |
