(CR) Saint Seiya Omega

T'was a decent episode. Nothing spectacular, but it was okay.

Eden training with a Gold Saint wasn't really that surprising. As an Ikki 2.0 whom in the original series pretty much ate regular Silver Saints for breakfast, it seems fair.

As for the whole Wind Ruins thing, nothing really outstanding. The better parts of the episode was really the 1st half and parts of the 2nd half.

I kinda disliked how Seiya's message was portrayed to them. Felt like it didn't jive with the way the scene played out, and simply an excuse to reinforce to the viewers that we won't be seeing Seiya plot-haxxing his way for the Bronzes for the time being.

And we've got ourselves the first possible element of cloth/cosmo upgrade later in the series! They better not make it solely elemental related though, I want my 7th Sense. ( not expecting Gold Saint blood though.)

I was surprised to see Eden training with a Gold Saint. He's on an entirely different level than the rest of the cast. It's weird he hasn't gotten promoted, especially since it looks like Mars is the one who decides it.

The Silver Saint this week was the ugliest in the series yet. Just horrible. I wish they'd put more efforts in the designs of the villains.

Next episode looks interesting. Is it just me or does it almost feel like Yuna is the main character? She's received a lot of focus. Not that I'm complaining.

That's Seiya, you can see his name on it, they probably set a character to be the main focus for each ruins based on the elements

It was a good episode but the highlight this week was the art, especially the scenes on Mars' HQ. Eden looked great. The bgms are growing on me too, looking forward to the ost.

Wow didn't expect Eden to be Mar's son. We finally got a look at Saori. So Seiya is gone, well at least for now. That upgrade sounds nice. Haruto being back is good as well.

Now that's a good master. She actually listened to what her student had to say. Granted, knowing that Alia is a fake Athena helped a lot. This raises the question of how many silver saints are aware of Mars' deception.

The silver saints who showed up this week had great designs. It's a refreshing change from the martians. Pavlin was very pretty. I hope she survived. Since they didn't show her body, I'm pretty sure she did.

Pretty good episode overall.

clearly knew before-hand that Yuna and co. are telling the truth, since she knows Saori by name. ( big clincher on Pavlin not being dead )

She went ahead against Yuna not as to capture her, but to test of her conviction/cosmo. ( and inform her that the real Athena is alive )

Besides, Pavlin's character is way too obviously related to Hyouga in some way or form. Let's count them...

- Russian (Pavlin is Russian for peacock)
- uses ice techniques
- Peacock Blizzard's execution ( looks suspiciously like Holodnyj Smerč)
- knows Athena's real name

It could always be a red herring just like Marin - Seika, but I highly doubt it. If she really is linked to Hyouga, even more reasons she'll remain alive for the time being.

For a show broadcast in HD it's seriously lacking in animation. Or is it just me?

This week is pretty good, but I find the music at supposedly emotional moment very lacking compare to the old saint seiya. Actually, I find most of the older game and anime have better music than the current one.

There's no specific date, but i'd say that's not relevant, since Saint Seiya as a whole takes place in an alternate setting. Some costumes and locations confused me in the original series when i was a kid.

HD has nothing to do with animation, but no, not really. Compared to other running shonen series, the animation does its job pretty well, specially when the episode is important.
