Loved this episode. The little bit with McQueen and Gold Ship was something I didn't know I wanted, but I adored their little back and forth antics. The race was pretty intense as well. I was expecting El Condor to take it, but it looks like Special Weeek made a nice effort to tie for 1st. I dunno who placed 2nd, but it didn't look like Seiun Sky did.

I wonder if the mother of Special Week (show) is Sunday Silence...who was the sire of the actual horse Special Week. Supposedly SS got an infection...that ended up resulting in heart failure.

Watched episode 5:

Another fine episode..I thought Spe-chan was going to lose, glad she managed to make it a tie! It's really nice to have good friends, everyone in team Spica is very supportive. I actually watched this episode 3 times today.

Actually no. Seiun Sky and King Halo burned themselves out with their intense pace in the early race, and they both faded in the final straight and were overtaken. You can see in the winning live that the other girl on the stage is someone else completely. Assuming history holds up, the next two after our two winners were Bold Emperor and then Daiwa Superior. Seiun Sky was fourth. King Halo fell off completely and ended up in 14th place.

The festival half and the race were pretty enjoyable. It was a lot of cute (horse) girl doing cute (horse) things. Now, Gold Ship finally has a team member to play with. I had no idea Grass-chan had such a title under the belt. Coming back after 10 months must've been tough. She and El Condor tried, but I had a feeling that Suzuka wouldn't break a sweat getting 1st. She's just unmatched. Being oblivious to the finish also emphasized that, I think.

Pretty fun start to this episode, they got another member, good to see Suzuka with another win, Special Week has a giant carrot for a pillow.

Wow that was a lot of donuts to get through, no wonder they both got so fat after eating them.

That festival was a lot of fun.

That bar scene was pretty funny.

What a great run by Suzuka, she lead from start to finish, no one could catch her at all, great win.

Silence Suzuka is just born to run. Not only does she win all her races, she takes the lead right from the start and holds it for the entire race, and still has energy to spare for the final burst at the end. We've seen some of the other girls try that, and they always get wiped out from overexerting themselves. Suzuka is just... amazing.

But there are so many flags getting set up for her now that I can't even count them. I pray that somehow things will turn out differently and she'll make it out safe, but the aura of impending doom is getting thick enough that I'd be able to see it even if I didn't know what happened to RL Suzuka.

Yet, if you notice, just a bit later when Team Spica was getting food, Oguri Cap was in the background chowing down on a massive meal and finishing it off within seconds. That horse truly has a bottomless stomach.
