Kannagi - Favourite Character(s) Poll

We seem to have two neck and neck races here, Tsugumi v. Nagi (in which Tsugumi has now pulled ahead by over 6%) and Takako v. Zange (with Takako ahead by over 7%).

I'm kind of surprised that Takako is beating Zange, I thought Zange's moe factor would pull in the votes.

Meanwhile Reiri is outright winner in the race for bottom place. I can't even remember who Reiri is.

takako was my favourite character throughout the whole show. she was hilarious, perverted and made of winsauce.

tsugumi was the sweetest and most realistic out of the 3 main girls. i really enjoyed her character. (and i so wanted a jinxtsugumi ending... which will never happen)

akiba was almost on the same level of win as takako (i love me some closet otakus !) but didn't have much screentime, which made me sad.</sub>

I voted for who I thought was the cutest in terms of looks and personality since Tokino Akiyama, Tsugumi. She was just really expressive. You'll notice just how she feels without her saying a word. It was like she was an actual actress. She didn't need an internal monologue or the need to always talk to herself the way most characters do, she just used her eyes. I love this show and it's cast, but Tsugumi stood out the most to me.

...Hmm...Still deciding if the others apart from Nagi and Daitetsu I should also include as my favourite characters.

EDIT: Yush Nagi, Zhange, Daitetsu and Meguru get my votes.

While I loved Tsugumi and Zange, the main reason I watched Kannagi was for Nagi. I just found her infinitely cute in a different way than Zange and Tsugumi. Doesn't hurt that she's voiced by one of my favorite seiyuu, Tomatsu Haruka.

That's what I was curious about but shows with romance included won't have a male lead top the "Favorite Character Polls." The only exception I've seen is Clannad with the male lead topping the polls by a pretty large margin (not huge but significant enough.)

I actually really enjoyed Jin as the male lead, he was pretty fun at times but he can be serious when he wanted to be. I only didn't like how he still hadn't chosen Nagi by the end of the series considering how depressed he was when she was gone, it was pretty obvious who he should have chosen. I really liked Tsugumi as well, very sweet girl but it felt like her feelings were oblivious to Jin for most of the show and I was sympathetic towards her but she was also very entertaining. Cute, sweet and funny, can't ask for more from her.

Nagi is probably my favorite girl simply because I got the most emotional response from her Nagi made me angry at times because of how selfish and childish she became but she made me laugh so many times and I couldn't help but find her so cute, that I wanted to just hug her Nagi is easily the best character in this show simply because of how versatile she is.

Obviously I chose the 3 main characters, Nagi, Jin and Tsugumi. All 3 of them entertained me the most throughout this series, I wouldn't mind watching a second season with all 3 of these characters in them.

i understand that male leads wouldnt be leading in polls
but a 40 vote difference is just :'(

That's a pretty thick margin but there's not much we can do about it. Although I do like Jin, he's not really much to brag about but he isn't a bad male lead either, he's just in between in my opinion.

I've just revisited this thread and since I last posted I see that life is now imitating art: Tsugumi has ended up losing out to Nagi, how sad that she can never win since she's up against a goddess.
