I have high hope that they decide to include the reason why that big hollow suddenly appeared and why Ishida's spirit bait was more effective than usual. One of those spots in the manga never adequately explained

Woohoo, episode 13 released. Great job by Lunar as usual. Episode 13 was great, although it feels a little rushed.

although I don't read much mangas so I didn't know or expect anything coming from the show so I was shocked to see Orihime as one of the team member or consider a Hollow buster but should have known by the way, the opening showed. Although it feel rushed, it was still in a good way that the anime has come to revealing the secrets of Ichigo to them.

So now, desperately waitin for the next episode. Things are getting hyped up.

I really enjoyed this episode, it's like they're starting to form a Hollow-killing-squad.

And any episode that has Ichigo's dad in it is a plus for me, I love that type of charecter.

I was surprised that Kurahara (I think that's his name) revealed Ichigo's identity to the newbies. It seems like Ichigo's got some huge potential since his presence alone was able to give powers to others.

I was waiting for this ep just because I love Orihime's "fairy-like" friends. They're so funny, I think they're aspects of her spiritual power (after being activated by Ichigo) manifesting into these things and becoming something that fits her personality. I think the masked one(tsubaki) represents Ichigo somewhat

It also fits Orhime's personality that 3 of them are defensive/protective, 2 of them are repairative(she's in the sewing club) and that only one of them is the offensive fighter

I can't wait for the first bleach OST, not only for the OP, but I really want to get that Shining/brightest star song that plays during action sequences. It jazzes them up.

Her lesson in butt-kicking 101 sans her fairies was amazing to watch. But why is Rukia so weak? My biased unfairly partial self wants her to be stronger, even in her current faux state.

I think, but am not sure, Rukia's so weak is because Ichigo isn't giving back her shinigami powers because it's like when she only intended to give him half of her power in the first episode he sucked all of it up and the same thing is happening and she's not getting her powers back from him.

Yes, unfortunately for Rukia-chan, she is reduced to a princess in waiting for her knight (aka weak and damsel-in-distress...her own style)

But Orihime was definitely cool in episode 13!

Hmm, that's not quite right as well

It's not that Ichigo isn't returning her powers, she simply isn't recovering enough of it to be of significant threat to the hollows. She explained in ep2 that when Shinigami are injured or too depleted to carry out their duties, they inhabit the artificial bodies to hide from hollows and recover naturally. As it is, the best she can do is heal people and maybe fire some low level bullets.

But after so long posing as a living human and not getting better, I'm wondering if the fake body Rukia is using is actually suppressing her abilities. After all, that one was a custom made one by Urahara the merchant- and this guy has an agenda of his own

No matter, the only people Rukia has the power to smack around is Ichigo and Kon. They deserve it anyway, Ichigo for not properly appreciating her art and Kon for plain hentai

Yeah, I do think Fumiko-san needs a break. But still...I liked Rukia cause she wasn't the typical damsel-in-distress, she was strong and very capable of taking care of herself with her Shinigami powers...not that I don't like her any less in the manga or here because she amuses me and she wasn't the typical damsel-in-distress.

But you're right, Fumiko-san needs a break, she's been doing a fantastic job with Rukia's character. Lol, she cracks me up.

I guess that's the thing with Rukia. She has this tough personality, upfront, and fearless. Yet she's stuck in this faux body not being able to do anything.

I wish she could muster up something inside her or whatever, the way Chado and Hime are able to unleash their hidden powers. I feel so sorry for her being left behind. Did I mention that I adore her?

I beat she'd beat the hell out of anybody for calling her a damsel-in-distress.
