I used to be only into punk like Dead Kennedys, Tragedy, From Ashes Rise, Gizm, Spazz, etc., but as I've gotten older I try not to take a narrow minded perspective on music. Try to enjoy and be as open minded as possible to all forms of it. These days i'll listen to just about anything. Rock and all the sub genre's of rock, jazz, blues, classical, a little country. The only thing i've never really been able to get into is pop.

I've been listening to alot of classic rock lately. Beatles, Bee Gees, Ramones, Rolling Stones, and Iggy Pop.

You guys should check out Audioscrobbler.com. It provides you with a way to keep track of all the music you listen to. I'm registered there as well, look me up if you ever go there.

My list has a ton of anime related music.

That's a tough one.

Thrash Metal (Vio-lence, Hirax, Death Angel)
New Wave of British Heavy Metal (Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Tygers of Pan Tang) Jazz Fusion (Mahavishnu Orchestra, The Thrill, Radioactive Sago Project)
Garage Punk (Zodiac Killers, The Rip Offs, The Makers)
Rock n Roll (Guitar Wolf, Teengenerate, Mooney Suzuki, The Stooges)
Jazz Hip Hop (Guru, SVC)
Rap in general, nerd, gangster, political

That's all that really comes to mind right now.

For me it's 80's Metal/Rock/Pop and Classical. I basically had to choose other here. Don't you think you should have made this a multiple choice poll.

Yeah, this should have been multiple choice and the choices are too general (no jazz? blues?? I know people who would be really offended )

But anyways, I've been a classical otaku/musician for a long time...longer than being an anime otaku There was a period of my life where I spammed heavy/death metal, and right now I'm addicted to Radiohead, but it's always mainly been classical.

Good to see classical fans in this forum. The flame is still going, but it ain't gonna last long

Favorite mus----RAWK.

A reflex action. This has been for years.

But actually......pop was my first love. Petula Clarke's "Downtown" was new when I first got a transisor radio, my first HiTech gadget. Yes, I am ole.

And anime has brought a new pop into my life. There is rock to (T.A. and the Family Cool, Silent City from Agent AiKa is the best!) but mostly anime has pop music like "The Sailor Stars Song" and "Revoluntion Rindu" and many more.

And I thank gawd for Yoko Kanno and "Try to Wish".

My life is rich and full.

My playlist mostly consists of anime OP/EDs so my favourate genre would be J-pop. I like classical techno as well (Bond - techno violin) or the likes of Kajiura Yuki who mixes pop/classic/opera/techno around which produces some amazing results.

I mainly listen to underground, indy style hip-hop, non of that stuff you see on t.v or radio. next to that I'm a huge DDR fan so i love that style of music also. I love the sound of Jpop but can't name any artists other than Utada Hikaru or Ayumi Hamasaki

I'm a huge fan of J-Rock (like UVERworld, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, etc.), along with ballads, and tehcno-ish songs (like fripSIDE (or flipSIDE)). They just sound so awesome!

SKA SKA SKA SKA!

Most ska bands suck, but the few good ones are awesome from Hell to Heaven and back to Earth. I especialy love Streetlight Manifesto, they are doing a tour now, by the way, can't wait till they come to Brighton and/or Portsmouth in February. Some other Ska I like would be more mainstream ska, like Reel Big Fish and stuff like that.

My second love is Metal, yet I still voted 'other', since I like ska slightly more than metal.

I listend to pretty much everything, but I love classic rock (ZZ Top! Yeah!), and some metal. I hate scream metal though because there's no actual singing. I like Guns N' Roses type 80's metal, and any hard rock with actual singing, for example, Metallica, Iron Maiden, and bands like that. Rammstein also puts lots of thought behind their music, and have members that are genuinely talented. Till's got the only baritone yet harmonic voice I've heard in a rock/metal band.
