It's a high school thing. They all keep it short in JHS because of sports club activities and then grow it long once they hit high school. It's basically to tell the world - "Look! I'm in high school!"

Well, novel 2 is finished. The link's now in my sig.
It's been fun. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did (and hope that I haven't ruined any of the emotional moments with awkward phrasing... hey, I didn't have time to re-read it thoroughly). I must say, it was better than I thought, except one thing. Spoiler:
This is the only big inconsistency that's been bothering me. Otherwise, it was better, and much more intense than I expected. Were this to be animated, it would be simply glorious. Edit: download at http://xmistervx.livejournal.com/ Last edited by MisterV; 2010-09-01 at 19:06. |

MisterV deserves some GIANT kudos for finishing up that translation work in such short order. I am well and truly impressed.
Finally got around to finishing up the read and all I can say is "Bravo!" If Gato were in my living room I'd give him a standing ovation.

I liked it. It wasn't the best story and the end wasn't perfect, but FMP was still really fun to obsess about for a couple of years. It's really a unique series IMO, and Sousuke has got to be one of the most hilarious (and badass) characters of modern anime. Again, I thank MisterV for his fast and quality translation and Shoji Gatou for making the damn thing.
PS: Does anyone know how popular FMP is? What's the probability of this being animated? |

So it's over... *sigh* Thanx MisterV for your translation, you made my day :-)
But only one thing that concerns me: Am I the only one who thinks that Sousuke's a bit out of character in the final book? Not just this one, the one before too? Well, it's not that bad but I can hardly imagine him saying such rude things to her.... and of course talking that much. Spoiler for Final sentence in book:
Anyways, I'm looking forward to reading the last Sigma chapter (any news about a release date yet?) and I hope... no I'm sure... it's filled with lots of beautiful images.

When I tell my students I like FMP I get a lot of blank looks or "EEEEEEEH!?"s so I'm thinking not very. But things go in cycles here. A series that's popular now no one will watch in a couple of years time. So it might be popular if they released it again. If they could do it with Inuyasha they might do it with this too.

Spoiler for tired and emotional ?:
And well, about the 'kuso onna' bit... T'was a ploy too. And it worked, so... Let's not overthink it. Well, personally, I like the way he's portayed by Gatoh ;D I wouldn't have him any other way. Last edited by MutsuriLurker; 2010-09-01 at 15:15. |

Well, I've finished my scans, and SOME of the clean-up
Here's the scrapbook album @LJ 'cause I have a feeling photobucket would try to delete that one pic of Kaname... I still have to do a lot of re-drawing on most of the pics, but as you can tell from the only one I bothered with, it's not exactly my forte. I'm more than willing to provide whatever is needed scan-wise to someone who can do the re-drawing... ^^;; Enjoy! @MisterV: Wow, that was fast! Thank you so much for your dedication!! ^__^
