The written characters themselves should have the same meaning regardless of the language that pronounces them.

No, the Katakana reads "Shaojii" (or "Shaoji-" - how does one represent the Katakana elongation in romaji?), though you're right, it'd be Xiao Jie in Mandarin.

But...they're in Hong Kong - so if it's meant to be Cantonese, those characters are romanised as "suije"...though I don't know how to pronounce them. (There is a "ji" reading for "姐", according to this website, but for a different compound.)

As a side note, apparently you shouldn't use that term of address in China.

Edit: As for the information in the booklet about her - it basically tells you what you find out/can figure out from the episode (mafia-like organisation, found out about Hei & Yin through a proprietary info network, her contractor power and renumeration etc) - the only new info is that she's from the Kowloon district.

Excellent episode. So far (only two episodes in) the interquel is shaping up to be the best DtB episodes yet. I don't dislike season two as much as most people here, but it's definitely the worst of the franchise.

It would be so much better, seriously, if Suou's power wasn't so mind-bogglingly retarded.

Well, while i took a bath, i watched this episode.

- This little baby at the end.. My first thought "Huh?! Is that Amber? OMG"
- Yin talks back? Uh..
- Stripper-chan. Like DragoZERO said: best remuneration ever.

In total, i pretty much enjoy this episode and realy cant wait for the next one.

The series DVDs are being released at one month intervals, which is normal. But the OADs are only on the even numbered DVDs.

How come the OVA's are better than season 2 in it's entirety?

Which really wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. I just didn't like Suou. imo she was like a Shoujo herione and she didn't fit. Besides she didn't kill anyone and contractor that doesn't kill--do not want

My one gripe is my favorite character has been shafted. Kuro Shinigami is getting his ass handed to him so Izanami/Yin can save him

The only reason I haven't quit the series. Izanami is also bad ass and joy to watch. Not to mention watching her flatten that stripper contractor was damn awesome. If she keeps doing things like that. I may like her more than Hei--oh noes! (She's already a close second)

I don't want these OVA's to end. *Cries*

Hei its more real than ever, he is truly happy and you can see it in his face, but he also gets very sad as the episode goes.
A lot of contractors are in a community in the middle of the jungle, they seem happy and more human than ever, Amargiri seems to be the leader from this community.
Hei watch Yin carring a baby, does he want one? (contractors can have babys, and hey dont know if the child its also a contractor.)
Amber knew everything about Yin and the izanami thing, Amargiri had the last instruccions about it but Claude seems to make him doubt about follow Amber´s final instructions.
They set a tramp to separate Hei and Yin. We can see a lot of bodys under the rain, Hei knows that it was Yin`s especter the one who did it. He must kill her.
