Was following this series when it came out I was so excited to see a Yokai title in SJ after some time. Actually remember recommending Mago to lot of people . But somewhere in the middle due to time restraints stopped following it . When I am in the mood to go on a manga orgy this will will be one of the series I will be looking forward to .

Chapter 79 is out. Next chapter color pages and 25 pages, Akifusa vs Ryuuji. I said once and I'll say it again, if they don't make an anime of Mago, Jump execs are a bunch of idiots. Oh, and Ryuuji is FTW!

Actually it's still unclear if he was controlled. Ryuuji has said he's always in the boundary of 'gray' even though Akifusa told Yura himself that there's only 'black' and 'white'. It's probably his hunger for power that caused him to switch sides. He seems pretty conscious of what he's doing.

Judging by Big Jerk words most that branch is youkai-blooded. Though it looks like he isn't such a big jerk like he shows... and actually he stopped attacks two times already when membership in Nura clan was confirmed, so he DO acknowledge "gray" existence, just don't want to and don't want to show it.

They gave the drama cd a top notch cast, for anime adaptions of Mago and Toriko it's really a matter of when and not if. Psyren for example is something that would be an a maybe. I would be surprised if Jump don't announce series for Mago and Toriko towards the end of 2010.. and than prime them for 2011.

2011. I say its about right, the manga will have about 150 chaps by then. We will probably have some news around the summer next year. But I wonder how far can the power meter in Mago keep rising (and still be good) to span out the manga in future arcs. It seems like with Kitsune, we are very close to the top already. I don't see Mago with its current setting going beyond 200 chapters.

think so? Not just Rikou, but with so many other characters, the manga can easily span as many chapters as REBORN if it paces it right. The story premise can expand location-wise too - into Western cultures and clash with magicians and fairies. "Nurarihyon no Mago" has huge potential, depending on where the author wants to take it.

So you think the future arc of REBORN has been as good? Nah. There are ways to expand a manga, but the quality is another matter.

Admit it. As interesting as it may sound, I don't want to see Rikuo fighting vampires or werewolves. The story should end where it is planned to end, not when Jump editors tell mangaka to end.
