D: i tried to use my 7 <3 Eureka Seven siggy and my avatar but it says its too big

50Kb is fine balance betweenforum load speed and sig quality.. Remember that there's 20 posts per page and if every posts have a near file limit thats a 1Mb of files needs to load already(not counting those avatars.. which also 1Mb total ). There's a lot of pretty sigs that can be done with 50Kb anyway, even animated ones.. This is not a graphic forums, so expect that the filesize limit for signature to not be up any higher..

That being said, your title really dont help at all at first glance. >.>

It's been brought up before, it's not gonna happen. Personally I think it would be nice to have the sig limit more intuitive and higher then the avatar limit, rather then the other way round like it is now.

If you made it yourself, go ahead and modify it a bit to get it within the limits. You need to sacrifice a bit, but it's very doable. If you can't do it yourself, I'm sure that some of the graphic artists on this forum would be happy to help you.

Looking at the avatars of the six people who have posted between me and the first poster, I can see plenty of proof that there is no reason to increase the limits. It is definitely not going to change.

Yep the limit almost becomes part of your life that you don't even realize it anymore ( I was making an avatar for another forum that has no limits and I went right to Optimize to File Size ---> 50 kb )

Although I have to do agree with Cats that the sigs limit and avie limit is the way it is now

Good for you.

You should always try to optimize the file size as much as possible IMO.

Single images shouldn't really exceed 25kb anyway, even PNG.

Yeah, like everyone said, but if you upload a picture bigger than 100 x 100, it will automatically shrink the avatar (that what happen to an avatar of mine XD). And just undoing stuff though ><.
