I think its funny how everyone loves Hinata but she's seriously not impressive. I'm guessing it's because it's mostly guys on this forum and they love the whole "shy/cute" personality.
Seriously, what have we seen her do? All she does is stand around stuttering "N-Naruto-kun..." and blushing. This past chapter is the first time EVER that we've seen her take initiative. Kishi really doesn't give the girls in this series enough attention (excluding Sakura, of course.) I'd say Sakura is my favourite now. I HATED her in the first part, but she's really become strong after the time skip. I always hated how mean she was to Naruto, but that's gone away, too. She's not obsessed with Sasuke anymore either. Ino has improved too. She's not as annoying as she was before. Then again, BE HONEST. Who here WASN'T annoying as hell when they were 12 years old? |

I'm a female, and I love Hinata. Heck, I'm sure there are several other girls who love Hinata as well.
Anyhoo, one thing I hear often is "Character A isn't impressive." "Character B hasn't done anything except for____." My question is, what qualifies as being "impressive"? I understand that this is a Shounen fighting show, but just because a character isn't kicking ass or something... I dunno, it just seems to me that a lot of girls dislike Hinata because she doesn't scream "Raawr! Girl Power!" or something. On that note, I'm not trying to argue with anyone's thoughts. It was just something nagging at my mind. Carry on as usual please. |

Lol Hinata strong? Cute, quiet, timid, will make a great obedient wife, cook and mother? Unless you are into domination, then there's really nothing about her I find appealing. I wouldn't be surprised if guys who are into the Hinata type go after the easy quiet ones, prefer the more submissive Japanese porn, and lack the confident to chat up the hot and outgoing ones.
Nah what you want is a real woman, like Temari or Anko with their fishnets! |

There are different types of strength y'know. Just because a girl isn't like "OMG! I am woman! Hear me roar!" or bitchy tsunderes or punching a gigantic crater in the ground, does NOT make them weak, nor does it make them less of a woman |

I mean, being a super strong and bitchy doesn't make girls more attractive. And what makes a woman a woman is strictly speaking her curves. Sakura sorta lacks in that compartment. That's what I find so funny about tsunderes. In real life nobody would like them. They'd be labeled 'BITCH.' and that's that. Manners exist for a reason Hinata is a very shy person but also the Hyuuga heiress, which is a bit of a problem seeing as you need to be strong and stable to be a good leader, but Hinata isn't and that adds to her insecurity. And the fact that her cousin is stronger. But she deals with it and gives it her best shot which is also a sort of strength ; not to give up.

Not that I hate tsundere characters, I daresay, I like quite a few of them. I suppose I enjoy a large range of character types. Hinata's fight with Neji was a good example of her strength. Now then, Neji wiped the floor with her quite effortlessly, so yes it is easy to see him as being the stronger one. However Hinata, a girl with absolutely no self confidence and who gave up on just about everything, was able to stand tall and look straight ahead. That's like, someone whom suffers from agoraphobia stepping out of their house. |
