Problems viewing MKV files On Vista
Hi, I was looking at Code Geass Episode 15 specifically and there seems to be problems viewing it.
I'm using VLC player, and running on Windows Vista. i had also installed CCCP-Project codec pack and all avi files seem to run well. However, when playing Code geass Episode 15, all i see are hues of orange, yellow and green. While some parts Im able to see parts of the videos, it often flickers to a screen of yellow/orange back and forth repeatedly. Please help Thanks |

ok
This is what you do you grab your copy of vista start up a fire and throw it in the fire and clean your hands of vista, but i agree with the last post vlc has it's own codecs and ccp is used mostly for mpc player or other if you are useing the new version of vlc player which is 8.6a i think it dosen't wronk right which vista there are reports about it, just use a older version of vlc, PS really throw you vista away hope this helps.

And older version will probably work every less well. VLC has trouble with MKV, H.264 and soft-subtitles. For proper MKV playback, you really have to use MPC or ZoomPlayer (though I don't know which of those two would work best on Vista).

Err foolish me I always constantly forget as well. I should have mentioned that our latest CCCP beta has a few Vista specific fixes. However you weren't even using the correct player so it is impossible to say if these fixes will help you or not.
