========== Six years ago, at a random playground ==========

The young Tsurugi stands next to a sand pit, firmly holding a bokken which is resting on her shoulder.

Surrounding her are four boys grinning at her with frowned eyes.

“Onee-san…” Says a little girl whose watching the surrounded Tsurugi while hiding behind a concrete bench along with a few other children.

“You got a lot of nerve ruining our fun, missy.” Says one of the boys who seems to be the lead bully, prompting her to glare at him.

“Acting all high and mighty just because you’re have a bamboo sword. You really need to know your place in society, shrimp.” Says another as he clasps his fist.

“My place is to protect those children from selfish people like you.” She remarks with a smirk.

“Hoh… Playing heroine, eh? Big mistake.” The lead bully then snaps his fingers, signaling the bully behind her to attack.

“Typical…” She whispers then strikes the bully’s abdomen with the base of her bokken’s hilt.

The swift strike inflicts so much force that it momentarily numbs his belly, causing him to step back while holding his lower abdomen, grunting in pain.

“Tch… She can’t get us all at once, get her!” Commands the lead bully as he and the remaining boys attempt to grab her.

‘Yes I can.’

She hops backwards and dodges the lead bully then slams her bokken on his thighs.

“AAUGH!” He yells in pain and holds his thighs while Tsurugi dodges the other two bullies’ attack and whacks the back of their legs, causing them to fall on their knees while letting out pained screams.

One of the bullies who got struck in the abdomen stands up and attempts to grab her shirt.

“C’mere, you little brat!” He flares while extending his arm, promptly noticing a shoe sole flying directly at him from the corner of his eyes.

With no time to react, the shoe strikes the side of his face. The immense impact force sends him flying a short distance away and falling into the sand pit.

“Urrh…” He moans while holding his bruised cheek.

He then looks up to see young Inami frowning with his fists clenched firm.

“Ina-kun!” Tsurugi cheerily greets him.

“You okay, Tsu-chan?”

“Better, now that you’re here.”

@ Stratos - Aren't they a bit too strong for kid's?

@ Demi - Aikawa showed up in chapter 5. M threatened to kill her unless she stripped her uniform and gave it to her She becomes M's "friend" (dragged around a lot by M against her will) later on. Shizune was stated to be Cecilia's friend, so she stays that.

Well, at least Takatsuki would have to show in tournament somehow as Cecilia's partner, against Madoka and Tanimoto, too bad Tanimoto is a sub-par pilot, while Takatsuki is at the least above average.

Well they're both instructors during then. And the bullies were merely an age or two older than them so the amount of pain seem proportionate. (albeit exaggerated)

Six years later, they could turn a pristine beach into a warzone setting by merely dueling

My bad, assistant instructors. They only get their own classes the year after... The same year where Inami left for Praxidike.

Shizune's one of the actual few girls who doesn't seem interested in him. When she tells Houki about the others complaining about the group spending too much time with Ichika, she's more sympathetic and nonchalant about it. One of the few girls who doesn't like Ichika

@ Stratos - They should be about 14-15 before they can do that. Child teachers tend to get stares, especially since the first Mary Sue was a 12 year old captain.

Not for the Katami family dojo, Inami and Tsurugi proved to be promising individuals hence the flexibility of a family-run dojo allows them to instruct classes at a young age.

Even then, they only get to train their own classes for less than a year, after which Inami disappears for Praxidike and Tsurugi steps down soon after.

As per Bouclier, they need to be at least 18-19 to return to their instructor roles. By that age, Tsurugi would've already graduated from the Academy.
