Kadokawa's BookWalker website is listing Shachi Sogano's Isekai Meikyū de Harem o (A Harem in an Alternate World Dungeon) light novel series as having a television anime adaptation in the works.

The novel series centers on high school student Michio Kaga. Wandering aimlessly through life and the Internet, he finds himself transported from a shady website to a fantasy world — reborn as a strong man who can use "cheat" powers. He uses his powers to become an adventurer, earn money, and get the right to claim girls that have idol-level beauty to form his very own harem.

Not a bad 1st episode. MC was actually calm most times, which I prefer in these isekai stories theses days. He believed this was a game until he realized he couldn't log out, but that avoided the "OMG I KILLED SOMEONE! I'M AFRAID OF KILLING" trope, since he killed a few guys. I was kinda surprised about the amount of blood; sure didn't hold back on that. Visuals was sharp and conveyed movement pretty well. I heard this was a 'shit ecchi harem" show, but this 1st episode at least didn't have too much of that outside of fantasy thoughts. I can def see the ecchi ramping up considerably down the line(e.g. ep2). The "menu interface" is absolute s***; super lazy design.

Well one thing is sure, the slave merchant is definitely competent in his job.
Censorship was quite annoying, not at the level of World's end harem in this first episode but I expect things to become worse in the next ones.

Yeah, that slave trader is good at his job. Read things pretty well and made the right kind of pushes. Even recognized the potential of the MC as a repeat customer early on. Of course getting adventurers is a great win for him. They've got the ability to gather funds pretty fast and are less settled so they probably are more likely to buy from him anyways. Heck he probably figured the MC's type pretty fast and made sure to have the main girl be the one bringing tea to further draw him in. In any business this guy would probably be pretty successful .

I do appreciate how the MC is managing his situation. He took the whole killing thing in stride at the start when he considered it a game. And he did momentarily freak out on a level that makes sense and avoids being too much to watch. He may have moved forward pretty fast, but in his situation that is probably a good thing. Since he's right. He likely can't avoid combat or anything like that in the future. So experiencing that early and starting to process it now will avoid it blowing up on him later.

As for the slave things, that was also handled fairly well. His choices are basically 1) ignore it and she'll be bought anyways, 2) buy the girl, or 3) rise up and overthrow the establishment. The third one feels good, but it's not easy to do right now. No telling how strong he actually is in comparison to the powerhouses of that world and if there isn't a serious desire for change he's basically fighting a war on his own. Thankfully it's a fictional world so can just take in the story for what it is and see how it plays out.

Also a good reminder...if a game says you'll never be able to log out then really consider clicking 'yes' to it .

I had to watch the Crunchyroll subs just to see how much of a waste of time they would be and... yup, that's about what I expected. The worst was the audio and **** censorship though. At least the AT-X version is out in the wild.

I think this should be a lesson to always take the ominous messages you receive whenever you start playing a random online game .

The Opening is fairly fitting for this kind of series, showing off all the girls Michio will be collecting along with them in action in the dungeon .

I was kind of surprised how easily Michio was able to start killing people, but it made sense he still thought it was a game at the time, and he was believably shook when he realized what had happened...but he recovered quickly. I was kind of expecting him to throw up for a second there .

I hope we see that knight lady again. The sheer look of disdain and arrogance on her face actually kind of turned me on .

Advertising him away from the brothel? What is this dude talking about? That should be, like, his first stop .

I have to admire how the slaver saw a perspective client and capitalized on it almost immediately, and flaunting Roxanne as hard as he could. Like, she seems to be one of his top girls and he's more than comfortable giving Michio a chance with her and a five day start. He's a good businessman .

Nothing sells slavery quite like the promise of big tiddies, sex, and no STD's .
