anime with lots of violence and killing
So basically am looking for an anime where there's alot of violence and alot of killing and alot of blood because ive had enough of all those anime's out there with the same boring main char ''omg am gonna save the world, am gonna protect everyone etc''. I want the main character to be a lonely girl/guy and a pretty quiet or evil personallity. Something like lelouch or light in death note/code geass or something like Shinn in gundam seed destiny.
Already seen: darker than black code geass s1 and currently watching s2 death note Elfen lied higurashi naka koro ni (spelling) higurashi naka koro ni kai (spelling) gundam 00 gundam seed gundam seed destiny |

Blood + : Personally, i didnt like this anime but it does have much blood and the main char is a girl with the personality you are looking for.
Basilisk: It is a action / historical anime during the Edo era of Japan were 2 shinobi clans is ordered to fight to death in a competition to decide the next shogun. There is plenty of blood and violence. Claymore: Half demon half human girls wielding oversize swords killing demons. Lots of blood and there it gets pretty dark sometimes. They are more like killing machines than woman.. Hellsing: The only vampire related anime i would suggest to watch. Plenty of blood and violence and really nice action scenes. Black Lagoon: A group of mercenaries takes in a common japanese employee by mistake and makes him part of their illegal jobs. |

Berserk is apparently the original Claymore.
Baccano!. Some of the violence is a bit more graphic than Higurashi, and one of the characters is covered from head to toe in blood for the majority of the series. It also has a gripping, unique, and quick-packed storyline, GAR and amazing characters, and Isaac and Miria. |

'Crusher Joe - The Movie' has a lot of 'action' and since there is military combat then yes there is a reasonably high body count ... however your OP sounds a bit ... bloodthirsty ... and therefore you might feel the 'purity' of the violence is polluted by the movie's plot, mystery, suspense, comic relief, tragedy, and interesting characters

Seconding Berserk. It's the cream of the crop. It fits your request for a non-typical protagonist, Guts is one hell of a character.
Gantz fits your request, it's sort of tacky, but rather enjoyable for what it is.
