I loooove meat... Even liver, tongues, ox-tail soups, everything, pretty much. If it's cooked properly, that is. I especially like Japanese or Korean-style meats... Yum.

Did you know that us Koreans eat dog meat sometimes? People seem to freak out a lot about that. But really, pigs are awfully cute, too. We're not evil dog-eating cannibals... Westerners sometimes think we are, though :P

Just to tell you, I've never eaten dog myself. Don't worry. lol.

I think piglets can be cute...but not those huge 300 pound hogs....

That's good to hear that you haven't, Haladflire. I love dogs. When I heard that some people consume them, I was so horrified....

I dunno, the big hogs can be cute.. in a way

But that reminds me of this story, which I found compelling, about John Robbins' (of the Baskin Robbins family) encounter with an Iowan pig farmer.

Yup. Bad example because lots of dinosaurs (i'll add too, for example the Muttaburrasaurus [I love its name ]) were big while only eating vegetables.

Besides, different species get their 'energy' and nutrients in different ways, and have different needs.

I forgot what site that talked about Meat Vs Veggies but it said stuff about both being good for you but eating just meat or veggies had downsides each. (not big downsides)

I don't think you got the DBZ joke, Vegeta = vegetables

anyways, I <3 Green Peas and Sqwuash and I <3 Burgers and sausage. but without hesitation I would pick meat over veggies any day.

EDIT: Found it, http://darwinstable.wordpress.com/20...s-vegetarians/

Err; I wasn't calling u retarded bro, though I can't say I'm not inclined to now. I was referring to people who go veggie irresponsibly and don't know how to stay healthy and strong. It's really not hard at all.

That's just talking in marginals like some discrete vitamins hard to find, but not impossible. In a first world country today, you can find everything you need from a vegetarian lifestyle. That's to say nothing about the individual though. Meat is certainly easier in some ways, but that means nothing to me when it comes to health.

*slaps herself in the face* Man this thread had some good debate going until Nogitsune wandered off.

If you think that meat has more energy inherent than plants, you're fooling yourself. You can get just as much (if not more) protein and fat from vegetable sources.

Actually from a global warning stance eating vegetables is 1000 fold better than eating meat specifically predator meat, like say tuna large fish that eat other animals. Considering the amount of solar energy/time/carbon sink the food pyramid is situated it would be better to eat lower on the pyramid.

Well, I'd say it's no less "moral" than, say, reading a book. So... moral, not really, but neither do I consider it immoral. If there is no harm done to the animal, I don't see a problem with it.
