Any good anime...

for 2010 or your favorites from 2009. I haven't been up to date for quite a while so I was just wondering what you guys would recommend. I prefer all types of genre, no discrimination here. Much appreciation.

Try these. If you had any specific requirements at all, there would be something new to post, but since you don't, there are already places to find out in general what people like/liked for those time periods.

Cross Game easily stands at the top.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is really good too.

Then... something like a 2nd season came out for Haruhi. Half was great and terrific. The other half was torture (though at least it didn't mess up the story at all).

Some other decent ones include:

Kimi Ni Todoke

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

Chrome Shelled Regios

Sora no Manimani

K-On

Looking forward to the Haruhi movie.

For the 2009 seasons, you need to watch the following:

Cross Game

Aoi Hana

Eden of the East

Spice and Wolf 2

Second both of those if you like Slice of Life type of anime they're enjoyable, cute, and funny.
Also I'll say this in case the if the large amount of people in Favorites from 2009 Thread didn't make it onto your list:
Bakemonogatari.

Thanks for your opinions guys I'll be sure to check out Cross Game, Kimi Ni Todoke, Sora no Manimani, Eden of the East and as for Spice and Wolf 2, I haven't seen the 1st season. Is it any good or should I just skip to the second?

As for these I've seen them and enjoyed them.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (still following)
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
Chrome Shelled Regios
K-On
Aoi Hana
Bakemonogatari
Canaan
Kara no Kyoukai

I'll be sure to check out some of the 2010 lists as well, thanks again guys. ^_~

The first season is good, you should watch it first if you're going to try out the show.

I recommend Darker Than Black II. You don't actually need to watch the first season to understand it.

If you liked K-On then I'd also recommend A Certain Scientific Railgun.

I would also recommend Natsu no Arashi (both seasons). The first is better overall but there are some delightful moments in S2, especially regarding the character called Jun (no spoilers please).

Haak speaks the truth; watch To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. It's awesome and win.

My faves were Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (remake of first FMA, this time following manga material) and [B]Eden of the East[/B ](a really great little action/mystery/drama series). Darker than Black II was okay but I liked the first season a lot more.

Third on Cross Game. That and Kemono no Souja Erin. Those two are not only some of the best series off the year, but also two of the best series I've ever seen in the +15 years I've been actively watching anime.
