Wow, a Mari Okada anime announced ages ago and I only just realised it existed today. I'm ashamed of myself.
Trailer looks nice. It gives off a typical upbeat mahou shoujo vibe and I can't be sure how much the shared body aspect will differentiate it from the rest but it does look interesting.

That was...pretty standard mahou shoujo stuff to be honest. It felt it was trying to tick off as many tropes as it could and in as short of time as possible. It was okayish but that's about it.

More than magical girl stuff, this show seems to have more in common with super hero comics, particularly X-Men and the like. The wide propagation of this power among the population and the very palpable fear of discrimination that is present in the show is a staple of these sort of comics. In fact, Aya's responds to Amane's ideals seemed exactly like something Magneto would say.
Other than that, I really liked the dynamic between the twins. I love that Amane's main motivation is giving her sister a sense of purpose and meaning. All in all, I really liked it. It seems original enough as super-powered action anime goes.

^ I liked it better than Symphogear too. I think that having the twins' relationship as center of the plot gives the show a heart I don't see in many shows.
Too bad it's just a two-episodes OVA. I hope they do a tv series at some point. The concept has enough leg for it imo.

Okay, I have been on this site for YEARS and I still haven't figured it out. What do you guys use for the naming schema here? Everywhere I see it, they use the full title: Zetsumetsu Kigu Shoujo Amazing Twins, but I you guys just use the short one. For other animes I only see the small title used, but you guys will use a different one. Or sometimes its translated, sometimes not like Attack on Titan, which I only knew as Shingeki no Kyojin until I checked this site.

Finally got around to watching the first episode. The premise reminds me of a recent "video game". I can see potential in this, but there's not much they can do with only 2 episodes.
I was a tad disappointed because they promised us an "amazing new heroine" and Amane's personality was pretty ordinary. I thought she would be more eccentric.
