Haha maybe my random guess was right and Spirit jumped out the window after Medusa . At any rate he manages to join the show. Though keeping in more of a pole form rather than putting out any blades quite yet.

Stein had things planned out pretty well. Makes tactical sense to send Black Star up against Chrona. Being the only one in the group aside from Stein who can attack with his soul wave. Besides its a good enough stage though apparently Chrona doesn't like Black Star much . Though as expected Maka wants this fight. With a score to settle she won't just sit back and let someone else take this. But it is pretty reckless since they don't have any guarantee way of damaging Chrona. Best they can hope for is the Witch Hunter having enough force to pierce that body. Not to mention what might happen with Soul makes it a dangerous fight.

So leaves Kid and Black Star chasing Eruka and Free. No doubt Free will stop to slow them down so Eruka can try to reach the goal. Kid should be able to speed through leaving this rematch to Black Star. Who actually was smart enough to use the Fay Blade in a limited capacity and then switch it off right after.

Good luck Stein, tough fight against Medusa.

Overall good episode, finally going to see some good fighting from now on. I kind of feel it's going to be like the beginning 3 episodes for the next 3 episodes, 1 episode on each pair's fight scene.

Great ep. All 3 of the fights I've been waiting for have started and from the previews the next 2 ep should be epic.

Yeah the difference in the serious levels was pretty huge. Kid being very serious and Chrona not that focused .

Kirikou asks how Asura could have eaten souls without being a weapon (answer being because he ate his weapon), yet the anime has been showing people eating souls since the beginning.

Well I'll have to see how it was translated in the anime but in the manga I took it to be Kirikou couldn't understand how a Tech could fall and start eating souls not that a human couldn't do it. then there is also

There's a person on 2ch who said the exact same thing I did, so I think you could at least say that that's a valid interpretation of the line

That still doesn't explain Black Star's father, though I guess it's possible he could have been a Weapon. Maka's father is one after all.
