Uhh, of course it depends on sales. Everything in this world runs around money. If the series doesn't do good and doesn't sell good, why waste money on second S2 to get a little amount of money, when you can do something else and get more money?

It was a pretty decent anime(8/10) tho it left things in the air which is expected from a 12 episode anime. Things got a lot less censored the last half of the season for this anime. Season 2 possibility? I hope but in the mean time, i will probably start reading the manga at some point down the line.

I seriously doubt that there will be a second season, given how the adaption was. Lots of important things were left out.

A second season isn't 100% guaranted but that there was a lot of stuff left out doesn't mean that a second season is impossible adaption-wise.
The following chapters give room for introducing the characters including Azami if you mean the left out characters by that.

As for the adaption and last episode. The anime was decent, I'd give it a 8/10, they tried to follow the manga rather closely in the detail but yeah some characters were left out which is a shame but they weren't that important in those chapters anyway. So here's hoping they'll appear in a second season assuming there will be one.

7/10, it was good but very hollow story-wise. Even taking characters into account, there wasn't much (if any) development, but I've been watching for the lols, and well, it is just 12 eps.

The way the story was going, I expected this to go for 24 episodes instead of 12.

The story was good but too many secondary characters to really flesh everyone out. I mean we find out about guitar dude's background in all of 2 minutes in the final episode when it should have been brought up a few episodes ago.

Plus I know that Ganta is scared and fighting for his life but it takes to the final episode for him to grow a pair. He was always portrayed as weak yet he blasts a massive hole in the roof to end the battle. Could've happened sooner and had a long fight with spectacular imagery in the final episode.

Also the woman/chief guard disappeared for the last few episodes yet reappears at the end. I was hoping she nailed the warden for his despicable acts in the conclusion but I guess that will wait for next season, if there is a next season.

To be fair Genkaku's background is explained quite quickly in the manga as well. As for Ganta's powerup it isn't explained in the manga as well and nobody really knows how or why.

It is kinda hinted that his 2nd ability might be the key to shutting down the mother goose system but we have no confirmation on that so far.

because advertising money>>>>dvd sales. dvd sales may play a small factor, but television ratings are the most important factor in determining whether or not there's a second season.

All I know is if this gets a second season they better give it enough episodes next time. Speeding along and trying to get to a decent break point with only 12 episodes just isn't a good plan. Just need to give it the time that's necessary if they are serious about doing it.

Well here's hoping it does get a second season. If not will just have to check out the last few chapters of the manga that I haven't seen.

Minatsuki definitely got some nice songs. First one especially was good mixing in her goody act and her real personality .

But really some solid songs. Senji's songs were good too, especially the second one.
