shuhei yabuta (inuyashiki last hero director, attack on titan 3d director) is directing the anime at wit studio (attack on titan, kabaneri of the iron fortress, the ancient magus' bride). hiroshi seko (banana fish, ajin - demi-human) is supervising the series scripts and writing them with kenta ihara (saga of tanya the evil). Takahiko abiru (hunter × hunter animation director) is designing the characters. Bamboo is in charge of the art, and madbox is in charge of special effects.

They changed the order of events and started with the flashback and also added some anime original scenes like the very beginning. I'm fine with it, but it's a bit of a shame they ruined some of the mystery the beginning of the manga had.

Anyway, that was really great. I'm glad I'm a manga reader because waiting three weeks for the resolution of that cliffhanger would have pissed me off. Not sure why they did that, the first episode had a strong enough hook on its own even with the rearranging of events.

Not sure it's been mentioned but the series will be two cour. Should allow them to cover the story content that matters the most. I don't care if they make another season or not after that.
