I never watched or readed Rosario and vampire so can't knew your issue or gripes but there not comparasion, here Nomoto was betrayed and revived so he is not heroic antagonist/anti villain if hitomi is vilalin protagonis or inverse, we don't know why he become animal but seems he want to settle the score with Hitomi and Ishida and support that

my problem with rosario and basically turned out in a lot of harem, the story was more about comedy the mc was a normal human which ended going mixed in a school in the "monsters world, like vampires, werewolfs and things like that he was the "only normal human" then he meet a vampire girl which have 2 personality and basically the story for a long time was him about "being a human" among monster which many of them wanted or turn him a food or slave and the vampire girl protect him, yeah he was patethic and weak but it was inside the original idea then at one point something happened in the manga production where it was changed and he was turned in a vampire and a really, really op one even more op than the girl which turned him which already was the insane op character basically being the "firs one punch man or in her case one punch woman cuz every battle aways ended with her one punch the enemie, the serie was more tuned to comedy then again something happened, like low sales or change in the direction where it become more serious and battle oriented while probably majority of peoples liked that change i personaly don't liked because the original idea of the serie vanished to be more about the "generic otaku taste".

Now about nomoto, i'm not saying which he can't become better and give a revenge to them but you can achieve that without turn him in a op as hell making him more "smart" and do "behind the scenes moves" like the peoples which betrayed did, this could be more cool for him, showing which he could get his revenge being "more smart" than "more strong" (physically). I would really liked if they did that because could be more "original" tham follow the generic path of make the mc become a killing machine, even if he currently is not top dog if they do really follow the generic pattern will be just a matter of time until this happen., which could be my problem

For now i will wait to see what gonna happen, the translated version still a lot behind the raws and will take time until it cath it.

yeah i do feel that idea could be much better and really they missed a great oportunity to make it more "original" and interesting.
About him become a brute i will try to watch where it's gonna go, if still funny enough i will keep watching if ending feeling it become "too generic" them probably i will ending dropping as i did in others series which really started good and with a chance to be really something new but "japan" is away japan and don't have too much place to be "original' and it's almost olbigatory follow the same "pattern" if you want to have a huge chance to be a sucess or at last have a good sales, orginal = high risk = high chance to fail = high chance to not appeal the "otaku public"

Well, when you see Hitomi reaction after she attacked Yuuya, and when I look on ch 49, I think we will get into point where Hitomi will join Yuuya. She clearly have feelings for him, even when she not really get them. She is also jealous. But I found raws only till ch 49 sadly. But Yuuya went through some transform, but until ch 50 don´t know what transform. Also, Leo´s slave still there XD But still have mixed feelings from the whole manga. I hope he is not that walrus like monster that is one of the previews, cuz that will be a big disappointment.

Maybe see he isnt that kind man he was before or finds out shes just been used by him etc. before she killed Nomoto she even says he's making her feel confused while blushing then crying in the car. Well you should not overreact which animal nomoto ends...but if we need a Ratel Counter..the few animal survive the ratel are some Eagles Species...and we've yet to see a flying/Bird Brute..that would kill two bird witha a tone

As for what animal, I dont know if we will ever see Birds because of wings and flying. If we're gonna go by a counter, then a Wolverine would be good. they are pretty much in the same family as Badgers

The thing is, that raws I found are only till ch 49 and then there are just few pages previews for ch 50,51,52. So that Walrus confused me a bit. But yeah, once you read that 4 pages, it is not him as you said. Probably will need to wait till vol 11 that come maybe next month so I can buy it, will see.
