Hard to say. There's not enough info yet. It will be the same world but if it will be related to the first story is unknown yet.

Very good news. I really enjoy the ainu-inspired world of Utawarerumono in the first season. It gives you something different from other RPG-anime out there. And I can’t forget Suara’s excellent songs in it. I hope she can return making and singing good songs again for this upcoming sequel.

And I miss the comedy in Utawarerumono. I laughed my ass off watching Hakuoro & Oboro’s antics in the extra episode where they need to take a dump after eating expired food but there’s only one toilet nearby, then Aruruu gave them her “surprise attack” LOL. And don’t make me mention Touka and her doll . Those were a good laugh.

Well, as long as you like the RPG genre, I think you’ll enjoy the first season (and yeah, you should watch it first as it has the important bits to the story IMO).

Wow, I never even new there was a sequel game for this awesome title. I loved the first series, and I'm glad to see that old characters will be coming back.

Now I need to rewatch the first series again.

Based on the info that has been released about the characters and plot so far, part of me is worried that they're just going to rehash the same original story, just with slightly different characters >.>

Still, I've pre-ordered the game and am super excited for an anime adapation

I know and still have my DVD of first season but its been years andi have also played the game but seriously? A remake or sequel? Wow... It brings back memories... Specially the ending.

I wonder if there would be other remake of good game in the future. Like tsukihime tsukihike tsukihime.

I don't think so. The child doesn't exist in the console port anyway and that version is the canon ver so it won't appear in the sequel unless they retcon it back again.
