I always watch the OP, and sometimes the ED if I like it.

I probably pay more attention to them then the actual show sometimes. A show may end, but my music collection is always rapidly accessible.

A better poll might be "do you watch the OP/ED every episode?"

I consider character songs to be of slightly higher importance to have than OP/ED, but the music of an anime is something I greatly value. TV is defined at least partially by sound, after all.

As far as watching them every episode, especially in this day and age, of course. Especially given that some shows (Sora no Otoshimono, Hanamaru Kindergarten, lots of things under Shinbo) change the OP and/or ED every episode.

With the minor exception of one particular anime ED theme.
I've always watched the OP and ED of all the anime that I finished (or currently following).

strangely enough I find that it is usually the music that stays with you longest after a series is finished; any series which I cared about invariably moved me as much through its music as its story and characters. I do watch them mostly , but for some long-runners (CONAN!) you just get... sortta tired after a while ^^;

These are the openings and endings. Watching and listening are very closely intertwined here.

Well there's a difference from watching the opening sequence as well, to listening to just the music.

Well generally I always watch the opening sequences, and then tend to listen to it more if I like the song.

I agree about character songs, I really enjoy them ussually wish more shows had them and they ussually have pretty interesting lyrics related to the characters.
And ya a number of animes do tend to have some change in OP/ED now days Bakemonogatari also did with different OP, and somewhat changing animation for the ED.

Most of the time I watch them, even if I don't like them that much (for the preview of the next episode or epilog)
But if I really, really don't like it, wait until it's buffered enough and skip it.
Over the time I develop the skill to be able to know exactly where I have to click so that the series/ preview starts XD

Most of the time, yes... but sometimes I skip them after hearing it so I can get into the episode and finish it quickly.

100% the first time I watch a new anime. The opening would have to be different or the music would have to be good for me to watch it again. The ending, same reason but I would add in watching for the credits at the end.

First person to say no, heh. I don't even know what they stand for.

I usually don't watch them because they contain spoilers. You can figure out who the major characters are, the minors ones, and the stand-ins.

Usually, yes. I like detailed OPs, with lots of movement, animation and awesome music that will warm you up for the upcoming episode. I must agree; some OPs give away too many spoilers, which is kinda annoying. But oh well, I watch them if they are interesting enough. As for EDs, nah. I'd rather skip them and watch the next episode instead. =P

I always watch them at least once, then I may skip them unless I really like the song.
