Use some german / latin / russian words to name it. In my case I use battletech names for some weapons.

I guess I should add in energy weapons at one point. If one would notice, many of the weapons used by Celeste/Stigma aren't French. That's because the equipment stockpiled in ISRI are added on to its equalizer stores. So it gets a diverse range of weapons.

Which means I'm going to use that as an excuse to give it bit weaponry and energy weapons

Eh, the modular base frame made easy customization and min-maxing. In fact, it's the reason why Dunois corp is proud of Raphael series. It's base stat would easily outstrip most G3 unit.

You could even slap G3 weapon and Image interface and it'll work just fine, the main problem is, apparently, that the R&D is not creative enough. (though, it is also possible that Dunois corp is a black sheep, I don't have that much information to decide)

I think it's because of the french idea of weapon development. They really do concentrate on speed and agility over everything else. In terms of making something with actual firepower, they are generally far far behind. I guess Izuru realized instinctively this issue and gave them modular unit as representative with the lowest base offensive capability.

Hagane
Although there's no real difference of external appearance between early model and the new one, the new version reintroduce multiple discarded technology found on Kurogane, updated or toned down for practicality. In both performance and handling, Hagane lies between Kurogane and Uchigane. However, whereas Kurogane just happen to be CQC unit adapted for ranged combat, Hagane is a true multirole. Still, Hagane is less replacement for Uchigane, and more like upgrade pack.

Hagane's development is parallel to both Kurogane Nishiki and Uchigane Nishiki, related but not the same. Further improvements lead to creation of stronger Kure Ohgami.

Akabane Hime
Akabane Hime is a custom built Armored Stratos frame based on Kure Ohgami, but optimized for aerial combat. Much of it's replacement parts are made by copying then altering the dismantled section of Aka Tsubaki. As the result, it's appearance has the mix of both.

Despite being Armored Stratos, it's still open top like most I.S. counterpart. It is claimed to be inferior to Aka Tsubaki in most aspect even by it's designer, a substitute that has no security concern. Akabane Hime is the only unit to posses dual Sub-Core System instead of one Sub Core and one SEED unit.

Years later after the IS where introduced, the Dr. Velkan Schneider of the ETTI tried to develop a way to give the recently developed 2nd generation a nearly infinite flow of energy using a new and unstable technology: the Black Hole Engine. He worked with several scientists on a special project named, ironically, White Ladies.

With this technology, he created two prototype units, which will be conceptual machines of his White Knight IS series. He named this Prototype series as Huckebein, in honor to a certain story he liked when he was a kid.

During the advent of the 2nd IS generation, he decided to show the world about the new model that, in his own words, it will be the standard equipment to the future of humanity. However during the activation of the Huckebein 00-01 R unit, the black hole engine entered on a critical overload and suffered a meltdown of catastrophic proportions. The detonation of the black hole engine completely “vanished” Los Cóndores Air Base along with everything on a 16km radius including a small town near the area. The number of people disappeared on the incident reached over the 3.000 people, which the 90% of them were civilians. After that incident, the Huckebein earned the infamous nickname: Vanishing Lady.

This put an end of the use of the black hole engine technology, even if the flaws where completely corrected and the L unit was able to initiate without suffering a “vanishing”. Still, the subsequent model on the production line, the Huckebein WL series MK-II, used a standard cold fusion reactor like in every other IS unit instead of the black hole engine originally intended. Meanwhile the 01 L unit was put in an undefined suspension and possibly dismantled.

Nope, instead of 2^2, it's 2x 0.66

The reason that normally, one Sub-core is supported by SEED unit to reach peak efficiency, but multi-core design would be impossible since the support module will only sync with one pilot and one sub-core, and two unit will clash with each other.

Without the unit, both cores are reduced to 66% efficiency, and the reason it works because a girl piloting it. That is, Houki. Although, even Chifuyu use standard configuration for her unit.

I was planning that Aries' version of the Byakushiki was just basically an Uchigane that could fly. O.o

How about if a support system instead of the SEED is utilized on units with a Dual Core System? Maybe a IS version of a Haro.

SEED unit IS Haro, or at least it's equivalent. Sub-core system, to put it simply, is a rejuvenated I.S. core (either they broke in service, or due to manufacturing failure). They are at best an idiot savant, most are simply mindless loyal drone.

SEED unit provide the 'conscience' and 'emotional' aspect that sub-core system lack, a bridge between men and machine. Remember human is the key to I.S. evolution, if average Joe cannot get attached with it, Sub-core won't get stronger either.

Evolution wise, women has no need for the support unit (the same reason why men can't use true I.S. core), but the sub-core will still operate on subpar performance.

Technology had yet to reach a 'true' dual core system, even during wartime.
