Good and bad news.

Good news: It's getting a TV anime adaptation!
Bad news: Pretty much will adapt the same material with some possible additions or a deeper reflection of the manga's story.

My guess is that it's getting a similar treatment as Break Blade

Regardless, it is going to premiere both in theaters and TV now. The season will be Winter (2016).

Edit: it will debut on Netflix.

Episode 1:

Actually, if you've seen the movie. It's pretty much exactly the same so a movie covers about 3-4 episodes (I'm not 100% sure until future episodes aired) but based on length wise, it would make sense. The CGI is done well imo, the OP song is catchy, and the episode sets up the premise and establishing Kei's life dramatically changing.

13 episodes (3 movies for the trilogy). Should be interesting to see the rest.

I've seen a lot of praise for the CG but I personally didn't like it to the point it actually bothered me as I was watching it.

Sidona CG was wonderful, Bubuki's CG looks pretty good most of the time (for now).. but in this case, it felt like CG wasn't enough to express the tense atmosphere of the story.

Excluding the CG, the episode was great. I had high expectations from this because it's pretty much my favorite type of story and I didn't disappoint. I hope I can get used to the CG but otherwise I'll just read the manga instead.

Man, the animation for Ajin is pretty off putting. And I'm one that usually advocates for CG shows since I usually base a show more on it's content than the way it looks.

Yet, this looks so poor, it's a bit distracting. I'm also hoping we get some much better done subtitles too.

As far as the content, I knew what to expect since I've read the manga. There was some new stuff and some stuff out of place, but it's mostly what I remember.

Interesting first episode...story wise, this looks to be very promising. It's only 13 episodes? That's too bad because I think it would probably be much better if it was longer; the story seems like it can be a relatively complicated one that's more than 13 eps.

Yer it so weird to watch. The plot seems a bit too black and white at this stage, through the music is excellent. I'm currently going with the 3 episode rule.

I actually thought the CG was well done. The color shading might be a bit plain and dark, but the movement and flow was great. It definitely had better animation than Bubuki. Bubuki might have better art and color, but the animation left a lot to be desired.

This seems like a really great series. The atmosphere was so intense. The OP is a bit depressing though. I guess there will be a lot of death and despair in this series. I like Kai so far, but considering how unstable Kei is, the end result could be quite tragic.
