hey just watched the first episode and found it quite interesting (and megumi so cute) well most of the girls are, pRez is a little bit annoying though. It looks like this will be one of those nice but away from the spotlight show this season. It's 4-koma roots is quite evident in the pacing and delivery of the jokes, not a bad thing, since it feels refreshing here, hope it keeps that feel all through out the season. will be watching

PS. ...got a bit confused with the opening post for the thread, ^^ this is for the main series right?

Wonderful start. Enjoyable from start to finish, including the OP and ED. I watched Tamako Market and then this, and this was by far the better watch, for me.

When I made Uchida Maaya my seiyuu of the season, it was more because she had so many roles than because I thought she was so good, even after Rikka in Chuunibyou. But now I'm sold. Range, humour, effectiveness...and beauty. And as a character, Mao is a great version of the type.

Really, I love all the characters, including the male lead. They just hit good notes, for me.

I thought this was based off an LN. Or is it a spinoff of the LN?

That's the thing. It's a 4-koma light novel. More of a collection of flash fiction with the same characters and settings rather than a normal light novel, much less a regular novel novel. In an animated medium, the difference between the two isn't that noticeable, but it interests me as a literary experiment.

The thread starter was a little confused. (It doesn't help that ANN reported it incorrectly the first time, too.)

A 4 koma LN, now thats certainly out of the norm. That definitely makes me want to read some of it.

TV anime adaptation of the GJ-bu moe light novel series, dubbed as the "first four-panel novel", where each story is only four pages long with illustrations and is about a Jr. High club.

Within the old school building of a certain high school, is the clubroom of the GJ (Good Job) Club, into which Shinomiya Kyouya finds himself forcibly conscripted.

The other members are:
Mao, the short and egotistical president;
Megumi, Mao's sister who's as generous as an angel;
Shion, a genius lacking in common sense; and
Kirara, who is perpetually hungry.

-------------------------------------------

So i read this and was instantly uninterested, but there was nothing else to get so i downloaded it, damn im glad i did ^^ one of the best shows yet this season

Kinda comes off as like a poor man's Seitokai Ichizon, but I remember Acchi Kocchi started out as underwhelming for me until the third episode then it became awesome so I'm not passing judgement yet.

I like it, it does seem quite a bit like Ichizon, I think I like Shion the most, although I'm looking forward to the green haired girl as well

Let's see now:
-Not a perverted fan-service type of show, Check.
-Not an over the top gag comedy show so far, Check.
-No storyline/conflict, but pure slice of life, Check.
-Not an all female cast, Check.
-Not a harem show so far, Check.
-A fun overall show so far, Check.

This show was not even on my radar and I had not plans to watch it at all. Since this season is meh for me, I decided to check this one out for curiosity. Wow, I was wrong. This show is great so far. Let's see how the next episodes turn out to be.

The slice-of-life feel I get from this plus the interactions between the characters are a plus for me. Definitely something good to enjoy. It caught my eye because I have a strong attachment to anything that has comedy and can be entertaining, and I'm definitely not regretting the casual mood of this.

Fairly good start, I suppose, but a yonkoma in LN form is an esoteric idea when you consider this is the first one to try this. I would love to see it keep up the standard for the rest of the run.

This show has one of the most realistic looking spiders I've seen in an anime. It was in no way cartoony - you could even see the individual hairs on its body. If nothing else, GJ Bu is leading the way in the extremely narrow category of spider design and animation.

(Also: dancing Mao avatar!)

Interesting watch.
The multiple short stories format is fun.
If I find one segment boring and dislike it, there's 5 others to try to make up for it in an episode.

Seitokai Ichizon was just boring to me and it didn't pick my interests after 3 episodes. This new show however got my interest a lot more.

Getting better Lots of cute Maiden-in-Love scenes, there's something in there for everyone... Shion turns out to be a VERY innocent girl when it comes to this topic Mao gets a nice hair comb scene, Megumi is actually the sly one (of sorts) and Kirara... Kirara is... is...

Combing Mao's hair....such a lucky guy.

I'm sure the group will be more careful with Kirara now.
