Shinichi has hit Peter Parker level of hotness now.
This show has filled up my need for action this season since PP 2 is turning more and more into disappointment. Anyhooo.... Spoiler:
Migi+Shinichi=best duo this fall.

I really don't see why people hate harems. That shit happens in real life too you know. And it's not like there isn't a reason for people to not like Shinichi. He's noble and generally a good guy. His appearance even changed to align to what the stereotypical(forgive my lack of a better term) image of an awesome masculine male is.
Either way, ep6 was awesome. It made Shinichi a lot more likable in my view. Also, Kana is best girl. |

I really like how the author establishes the fact early on that the parasytes aren't here to become a new dominant race. They really are just here to fuck shit up. |

But they are truly smart, aren't they? I mean those parasytes.
Even though they just come into existence a few months ago (I suppose), they learn enough about human to blend in almost perfectly. The parasytes that kill his mom firgured out very fast that it had to find their address to hunt down his father - and did so with ease. Migi proved their learning capacity too - he apparently learned enough to know what to do in that situation, how to keep Shinichi hydrated while performing surgeon like a Black Jack on him. I always think it's weird for a species to be so smart and so adaptive, yet does not have the most basic ability of reproduction. |

After last week's episode (and all that criticism I've received from you guys), watching Episode 6 saw and liked how Shinichi transformed into a strong and more resolved character.
It's sucks that Migi has a 4-hour time limit before going to a deep sleep, but hey at least Shinichi's senses and strength were heightened! |

Well, jokes aside; I really like that the BGM arrangement are lately getting much better. No, I'm not talking dubstep, I'm talking about the placement of the BGM, when to keep it silent, and the the transitions between. It really helps the scenes, unlike the choppy arrangements of earlier episodes. |

The piece that started playing near the end of the episode was so good. Really enhanced the scene.
Shinichi has taken his first step on the path to badassery. The lack of glasses alone makes him look a lot better, but this isn't only it. His determination to avenge his mother and protect his father is giving him more confidence and his expression has changed, he looks more serious and colder. He's already a far cry from the Shinichi at the beginning of the series.

A and Tamiya are standard parasytes with normal human bodies.
The reproduced baby is genetically simply an offspring of the original humans the two parasytes took over. Now... I do wonder. Since a parasyte assumes the function of whatever organs they latch on to at the larva stage, if a partial-takeover like Shinichi happened to someone's male reproductive system, and had sex with a similarly partial parasite that took over the female reproductive system, would a baby born of parasyte gene be produced? The chances of that happening in the first place is nill, even though the thought of penis-parasyte and a female groin parasyte is rather... disturbing.

But I am glad that Parasyte is a better adaption than Madhouse's attempt of adapting Western comic. I love Madhouse very much, but they're pretty inconsistent. |

There are some positives I guess to Migi having a 4 hour a day total shutdown. Can spend time with that girl he likes without having to worry about Migi observing human relations .
I did like the Peter Parker kind of shift for Shinichi here. Curious to see how he and Migi develop as the series goes along. Certainly Shinichi is going to get more inhuman as time goes on, but could be interesting to see how much humanity Migi might pick up along the way.

The latest episode was better than usual. Having said that, those preceding it weren't anything to write home about. I'm glad to finally see Shinichi's change, even if it feels quite abrupt. |
