Hmm, three matches today and all of them seems interesting to watch...The first one, starting in about half an hour from now is South Korea vs Greece, both team are roughly of the same strenght so this should be interesting. I'm hoping for South Korea to win this though. I'm confident they could do it if they play their very best.

Whoo! South Korea took an early lead! Beautiful cross from a corner kick with a finish from Lee Jung Soo. Hope they can keep their advantage.
Holy crap, that. was. AWESOME! Park Ji Sung's beautiful solo run getting past two defenders and shooting past the GK made it 2-0 for South Korea. The match is almost in the bag, really. Yep, South Korea wins it, two goals to nothing. They deserve that win, dominating through most of the match. Greece strikes back in the second part of the second half, but South Korea did well in their defending as well. A very exciting match to be sure. Last edited by Saturn Beaver; 2010-06-12 at 08:26. |

Greece got at least 11 corner kicks but unfortunately that was not enough to save them. They lose to South Korea by 2-0 though.
Congrats to South Korea for having first victory in entire tournament as first two matches ended up as draw. |

To be honest it was ridiculous how Korea was looked down, probably the fact that Korea is Asian and Greek is one of those team with big strong Europeans . Hell one article I read about the match they had one of the Korean player who didn't made the final cut in starting 11.

Couldn't agree more, especially with the last comment in the first paragraph. Yep, the match is starting now. Let's see if Argentina can live up to their potential. Btw, just realized that one of Nigeria's defender has one of the most unfortunate name ever, Danny Shittu.

Messi really needs midfielders to run off him and return him the favour. Tevez is looking poor and a bit of a liability. Take him off and put Aguero on.
Nigeria looking very dangerous too. Argentina's defence looking in all sorts of problems. |

I knew from the get-go that Greece would lose. I saw their preliminary with Ukraine and well both teams were quite lackluster. Although I had to wake early to watch the Korea match (7:30am where I am), it was definitely worth it, especially since yesterday my friends in Seoul sent me a 3x5 flag and a team jersey (which I'm still wearing btw).
The flying kick goal was just incredible. Also, what the heck happened when both the Korean and the Greek fell down at the same time? It was in the second half, neither had the ball, and they were near the line. I actually laughed at that point to be honest. Also, Korea flag ponchos. Do want. |
